Thread: Ironic Fails

Yeah, totally.

Last night I had this dream where a DC and I died and turned into fairies where we were always in a lucid dream. And we spent the rest of the dream flying around and talking about how this was all a dream but it didn't feel very lucid-like, and how strange it was that we were both dreaming at the same time and stuff. I didn't become aware the whole time.

ouch. I to remember having entire conversations with DCs about dreaming, it annoys me so much that I dont catch these things.

Also, I think I made a mistake in my first post, I should have said DILD instead of MILD.

I had a dream last night where I was flying like I was a bird. Flying is something I try to do in most of my LDs. :/

I had a false awakening in which I was waking up at night to try to WILD and get HI. I saw the Assasin's Creed Animus Loading Screen and then later proceeded to another dream. In this dream I talked about how stupid it was that I dreamed I was dreaming. I later proceeded to dream about how stupid it was that I was dreaming dreaming about dreaming.

Just last night during one of my wilder dreams i started commenting to myself how this seemed a lot like some crazy action movie and not very realistic. I have yet to DILD.

Yes, I often feel like my surroundings in my dream are a bit strange (like when I climbed a tower of birthday cards and they didn't collapse) but don't become lucid. If you're getting that far, though, you will probably have an LD soon, so keep dreaming.

There are many funny stories about ironic fails...

Once I was on top of a building. I said to myself, "If this were a dream then I would be very scared when I jumped off". I jumped off the building and it was very scary. I hit the ground unharmed, and told myself it wasn't a dream because I was in a video game lol.

So frustrating, but very funny.

One guy, i don't remember who said that this was his experience.


All my friends came up to me and were like "we're in a dream! Isn't this cool we're in a dream!" and he replied "Sorry, I can't go lucid cause the dog is playing chess with the fish and he has him in checkmate."

One time I was sitting in a library with a girl. She opened up a book, and I looked at it, and I go, "Hey, is that your dream journal?" And she says, "Yeah, and look! I was lucid in this was, because I reality checked." And I think, hmm, that's really interesting. She had so many cool dreams and lucid dreams. I wish I could have dreams like her, if only I could remember to RC.

But I didn't check and I didn't become lucid. My brain can be so annoying sometimes.

That reminds me of a time that I dreamt of looking through my dream journal. When I turned the pages they kept changing, but I didn't do a reality check because I thought I didn't fully complete writing on some of the pages lol. Arg

Yeah, it is so annoying! So many times I have let the stupidest things get past me.

Ahhh! Last night's dream is totally my fault for not doing any reality checks the past week or so. But still!

My brother had a book and a popsicle. I asked him where he got them; he told me, "In the freezer." So I looked in the freezer and there were popsicles and these really thick books all about lucid dreaming. I took a popsicle and book, and sat down and started to read about LDs. I never became lucid.

this happens to me a lot so i made it a dreamsign any time i hear dream/dreaming or read dream/dreaming i rc that way when i talk about dreaming in a dream i do an RC HAHA! take that non-lucid dream!

That's what I've decided to do now that dreams are starting to feature in all my dreams. Not sure how it will work, since I just started today.

Yeah, last night, I had a dream where I was in my bed, and I was attempting to WILD, I failed in my dream, and instead went to sleep in my dream...

-sigh-

Ive done that merciless, then more failure afterwards.

I haven't recalled anything for the past two days.

so I was trying to WILD! I did fall into some sort of dream state, but it was very unstable. So I shout! I don't even remember what I shout, but I was shouting to stabilize my dream!

But then I become really concerned that my shouting would bleed over to waking life.

At that moment I wake up. I turn over in my bed and see some random co-worker,who should not be in my room for any reason, sitting in a chair next to my bed!! And I ask him "was I sleep talking?" and he answers "no no, it was all in the dream!" "Oh, oh okay thanks." And then I turn over and go to sleep

I just had a dream a few nights ago of doing reality checks. That was pretty much the entire dream, just walking around doing reality and I can't even remember if they worked or not but I never became lucid lol. I HATE MY BRAIN!! lol
