RCs too much for sleeping mind?
Every time I have become lucid it has happened when I've already had a fairly strong suspicion that I'm lucid and the only role the RC plays is to confirm I'm lucid; I've never become lucid from randomly doing an RC (even though I've been doing them all day when awake).
I was wondering the task of doing an RC is too much to expect from the sleeping mind. Would it be better if you did a kind of "mutual RC" where you and another person in a dream RC each other - eg, nose pinch each other?
I'm thinking you would be more likely to do this mutual RC because you are seeing people all the time in dreams and this would act as a better trigger.
Along similar lines, I've noticed from many dreams that I am rarely aware of my own body. Before I start to use affirmations such as, "I'll RC in a dream and become lucid" would it be a good idea to use an affirmation such as, "I'll be aware of my own body" and once I develop this awareness in dreams I can move on to the next stage and use affirmations that condition me to do normal RCs?
