So My DJ has been becoming easily full enough to show plenty of trends through my dreams and for some reason even tho I'm aware of them during W.L. when they pop up in my dreams as expected it doesn't trigger any series of questioning at all and in turn no lucidity.
What is everyones best method of tracking/conditioning yourself to recognize dream signs?
Simply put, not relying on them.
Dream signs are nice, but you need to have backup plans in order to consistently recognize you are dreaming.
For example, one week I decided to try something new and made all of my daily RCs simply asking myself "where was I last? What was I doing?" with the hopes that in the dream I would say "I was in my room, and I went to bed!" as an answer. But that's not how it worked. I had false memories in the dream, so I answered, "I was in the plasma room and I fought the Nazgul that was running it!" And so I concluded I wasn't dreaming.
BUT, what if I had, in that week, practiced other RCs as well? Pinching my nose, jumping to see if I go higher than normal or float around, etc.? Then I would have done those in that dream as well, and at least one of them surely would have succeeded. And actually, this is what I have done in the past for DILDs (presently I'm focusing on WILDs) and with great success.
Just rely on several tests at once for attaining lucidity, and surely one of the checks will work, even though one or more will probably fail, or only half-succeed.

i've been doing RCs frequently for the past few days. however, i can never remember to do them in dreams. i always just follow the dream plot.
Recently I've be doing a lot of work regarding dreamsigns and experimenting with different ways to make them occur more frequently in my dreams, and ways to use them to achieve lucidity.
At the moment, I imagine myself waving at the dreamsign when I see them. (Most of my DSs are people from the past) and then noticing my hand and realising I'm dreaming when seeing my hand. So my thoughts go like this:
"Oh, it's Jim!" "Hi Jim!" (wave) "Oh, it's my hand, am I dreaming?" (Nose pinch RC).
I've been doing that three days and I haven't become lucid from it yet but my dreams are featuring my DSs consistently now.
(In the privacy of my own home I imagine my DS walking into the room and I actually physically wave at them and then RC.)
I don't rely on dream signs to recognize that I'm dreaming, but a lot of times I've realized I was dreaming because something was funny with the horizon. In one dream, the sky was too close to me to actually be a sky, and in another, the sun was made of cardboard and yarn.
Lately, though, I've been recognizing that I'm dreaming on the sole basis of how the air feels in my dreams. When the air and atmosphere is unclear and... for lack of a better word, "dreamy," and it just doesn't seem right, I run some reality checks and realize I'm dreaming.
