attempted WILD...failed :(

so i tried the whole WILD thing...tho I havent exactly clear details yet as to what exactly is supposed to happen...anyway, i kept focusing on one image and let my body fall asleep, this was the easy part as i have practiced a little meditation before..anyway after awhile I began to hear things, but I felt like i was making the noises (internally) but I figured that I was creating those noises in my mind...i dont know if the things you hear are supposed to be heard that way...anyway...my mind began to visualize anything i decided to think about really well (although nothing close to lucidity), but i could still feel and hear what was around me in my room (not in my head)...basically put i need more info cause i ended up messing up and opening my eyes, but now i cant get back to sleep so...so anybody care to link me to somewhere i can get more info about attaining WILD, or care to just tell me the steps and generally what you're supposed to do? anyway...thx ^.^

Maybe I would start remembering my dreams if I did WILD.

I tried WILD tonight... All I got is some hypogonic (sp?) imagery, which was pretty interesting - like looking at a 16:9 screen...

I think you just have to keep at it - you sound close. I've been trying for about two months (3-4 nights a week).

Initially I got just the HI. After a few times I began to hear the sounds. Sometimes the sounds appear as though they're from the room (my wife talking to me for example). Most of the times the first sounds are some loud crash or clap of thunder. This gave me the most problem because it often jolted me awake. After about a month I could get past the sounds most times and get to the vibrations. A couple of times I got to this point, but couldn't get myself into a dream before what seem like a long time, so I opened my eyes. Two nights ago I had my first successful WILD. I heard my wife's voice and bells ringing. I made the HI into bells (I can also often see HI of what I want). I concentrated on relaxing, staying conscious, and getting into the dream, which I did in a relatively short time. Unfortunately, just after landing in some laboratory I could hear/ feel my wife turning over in bed and this awoke me.

Point is, you're lucky if you try WILD once and it works. For me it has so far been a gradual progression, which hopefully will continue to frequent LD's.

I've had a few WILDs in the past month. I like to start them off with me driving to a store or a friends house and go from there. Its worked before but most of the time my mind wonders off to fast and I lose the WILD and just fall asleep.
