a familiar place

i repeatedly have dreams that take place in new york city. it occurs so frequently that im attempting to use it as a reality check. i was wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences with places where they used to live or are very familiar with. i'll make it clear that i used to live in new york and where i live now it is virtually impossible for me to go to sleep and wake up in new york without seeing an airport.

does anyone have any suggestions for me to be able to fully capitalize on these oppurtunities?

Your case should be a little easier. Just watch television or the movies and reality check whenever they show New York! Or perhaps get a bunch of pictures and reality check as you look at them.
