I've been wanting to know this for a while. What is the most reliable technique that I should use? And also one that I will be able to have lucid dreams with for a long time? Just one technique. Or it could be 2 combined. Suggestions?

WBTB, combined with mild
Keep saying mantra until u pass out, it carries over consciousness into the dream
I find that DEILD is extremely effective, since you have a past dreamscape to re-create, and also your mind is aware enough to know what's going on, but tired enough to fall right back asleep.
I agree with Mike in general...
WBTB + MILD is what i would recommend to someone who's just starting out. Those seem to be the most reliable techniques, that general work for alot of people!
But everyone's different and it can take a while to find what works for you! So basicly everyone's has different techniques wich work best for them! You just have to find the right one for you!
Don't give up on whatever you're trying to soon, it takes time and practice to master these techniques!
Thank you for all the good replies!
If I remember my dreams well, I will try and DEILD most often.
And I will try to WBTB + MILD too.
there was a month that i had ld every day, and i remember using wbtb and mild... but i realize that i have forgotten i did that, so thanks for remembering me guys.. lol!
sorry for my english
A reason why it is hard is because there is no set technique. You might just want to experiment and see what works for you. For me I get the best results when I do WBTB without putting too much effort into it. There are some mornings when I know I'm in the right physical state for WILD, and other times when I know it just won't work.
I read around these forums that using WBTB w/ something else is more probable to give you an LD. Many use it with the MILD technique.
I find WILD to be unreliable, or maybe it's me doing it wrong. There is a CAN-WILD technique that sounds promising though.
If you don't want to much work, I would definitely give MILD a try. At least for a couple of nights and see where that gets you.
I guess it depends on how dedicated you are about having an LD. I don't like the MILD because I tend to be really inpatient and the mantra just keeps me awake. I love the FILD technique though. I've had success with it every time that I have tried it. Four times. Maybe I just got lucky haha.
CAN-WILD is just a DEILD the guy who created it just wanted to people to say "You CAN-WILD". WTF does the CAN stand for again? I think it is "custom alarm noise". You can tell he bullshitted it straight from that.
