How long hgave you been trying? do a regular DJ if you haven't, and wake up earlier to record dreams/reduce stress/etc.
Iv'e been semi-trying for a couple years now it's summer. I'm just a little perturbed that everyone can have them without a lot of work...
Some people find the concept of LDing easier than others, just like some find math easy and others difficult.
I suggest writing down every bit of your dreams you can remember, every day, and your recall should increase. Then it's all a matter of awareness. Look around constantly and mentally question whether or not there's a possibility you could be dreaming. Do an RC every once in a while. It's almost always an epiphany (caused by awareness) that causes people to become lucid. They recognize their dream sign, if they have one, and are aware enough (from practicing in real life) to catch on. I only have one dream sign, but I have never become lucid because of it. But that's just me.
Good luck.
Simply put, are you a guy "yes" do you have problems with recall? "yes" masturbate vigorously multiple times a day maybe even spending a full day doing your thing with your bad self "yes"
Its simple friend, stop doing your bad thing and you recall will skyrocket, I forget why but its something to do with the brain "Neuroscience fail ;-;"
Hey, well atleast you've had 4 LD's, I've only had 2. :P
Patience goes a long way, if you practice hard enough, I'm sure you'll get the hang of it in due time.
Going with IndigoGhost said, there is some truth.
I have much better recall when addictive things are removed from my life, and I'm actually working. If I do things like play chess or solve puzzles dream activity skyrockets. Actually I might open a new thread about this because I just came up with a theory.
It would seem that at least for me, doing logical things increases the creative subconscious activity in my mind. If I listen to music or draw, or do anything creative for that matter I never seem to get much better recall. But it could just be I'm wired weird, I have heard that using either hand stimulates the other side of the mind when doing art for instance, but I've always been naturally ambidextrous and never noticed a difference.
As a side note, how the hell do I get it to stop autosubscribing to threads when I post. It's really annoying and filling my email up.

Myth #1: “Learning how to lucid dream is hard.”
This is definitely the most common misconception I find. Learning how to lucid dream is easy. So easy, in fact, that more likely than not you already know how to do it.

Myth #3: “I don’t remember my dreams, so I’ll never be able to lucid dream.”
Another very common reason people give for why not experimenting with lucid dreaming is their inability to recall dreams. Dream recall needs conscious focus. Most people don’t recall their dreams.
More importantly, the ability to recall dreams is not a requirement for lucid dreaming. It’s merely one of many suggested starting points.
Okay... Indigoghost... Thank you for the... private advice.. *ahem*
i think that the younger you are the easier it is to get a ld
If you have trouble and are only "semi-trying" then don't count on too much to happen. Consistency is key.
Yeah, try more! But not too much, because stress is bad for LDing lol
Just remember, these lucky people soon will be worshipping you and your superior lucid skills!
