Testing out new Style (Isochronic)

So, after figuring out how to make isochron tones, and what hz are best for what, I made my own 12 minute isochronic track. Its made to slowly and gradually bring your brain waves to those of rem sleep (4-7hz).

I'm still in testing phase (I did just make it today) and what I'm going to do is listen to the full track, and then once it's over listen to my other track which is 5hz all the way through.

What I'm hoping is that the first track makes a smooth transition for me and will help my brain in syncing with the second track.

Then once I'm done the second track I'll go to sleep and try for a wild, but I'll also set my alarm for one hour so that if I don't succeed in the wild I can try again (WBTB style).

Hopefully using these two tracks right before bed will greatly increase the rate at which my brain enters deep, rem sleep so that WILDs are more successful and so that WBTB can be done sooner, as opposed to 4 or 5 hours after falling asleep.

I'll post results tomorrow... but this is too small a sample size... so i'll post the tracks here and if any of you would also like to try it out today, or in the next for days and then post your results it would help me with making a more efficient and effective LD inducing track.

So listen to the transition, then the 5hz, and then try for a wild or WBTB.

Quick question, would this help me relax and fall asleep faster as well as increasing WILD chances?

Absolutely. Your brain in essentially being 'synced' with the frequencies that result from these tones.
The first track (transition track) alone should do this. For me it also induced vivid and crazy hypnogagic imagery.

The second track, i find, if listening to without first listening to the transition track, can cause dizziness, headaches, nausea etc. I think it's due to the frequency (5.5hz) being so far from the brain's waking frequency (15hz+) that the brain has difficulty adjusting so much at once and thus causes an imbalance in the brain. However, if you listen to the transition track, it starts at waking frequency, then lowers to resting, relaxation, sleep, and eventually rem sleep allowing a more gradual drop in hz.

No worries! Thank you too! It your feedback and other's feedback that will help me optimize the tones, frequencies and lengths! Be super specific with feedback too! If you haev certain sensations or feeling during certain parts remember them and get back to me. The more feedback the better. Whatever you feel comfortable with. At this time there really is no concrete correlation between volume and effectiveness. Also, if you have complaints about it being too high or low pitched I can tweak that too! It isn't the pitch that's important, it's the beat frequency! So I can drop it a bit lower, or raise it a bit too!

Also, it should work best when played sometime before bed. The closer to bedtime the better... because although there's no actual research on this yet... it can be assumed that over time the brain balances out and resets it's base frequency... which would make listening to the tracks useless! for me I'm just going to listen to them while in bed, and then unplug and goto sleep... that'll work best.

Its really kind of scary the first time though! But i'm going to listen to the first one for another round, then try the second one while i reread my dream journal and try to remember what I did today. Being new to this whole thing, im not sure what is good or not, but i have yet to become lucid, and if tonight is the night, this would monumental to me!

i'm going to edit these for myself so that it's condensed to about 15 minutes or less. i'll listen to it after a few hours of sleep, so 29:20 of noises would interfere a little, haha.

i'll try to notice how quickly i fall asleep and if this helps me time my sleep cycles better :)

Alright. No LD last night, but I don't think it's the tracks fault. I listened to both tracks, went to bed and set my alarm for 130am. I tryed for a WILD but fell asleep... then at 130am when I woke up I was going to try WBTB but I was suuuuuuper hungry so I ate a bunch and then when I went back to bed I couldn't fall asleep let alone LD.

Overall, catastrophic night. But I still have faith in these tracks, which I'll try again tonight.

Also I'm looking forward to hearing back from those of you that tried it.

Yeah i did not LD, but i dont blame the track.....i had a crazy night to say the least lol

I thought you were only supposed to listen to the first one. :horse: Oh well, It did help relax me quite a bit. I got the sluggish tired feeling but I still couldn't fall asleep until at least 1am again. But it's an improvement. Tonight I'll try it with the second track.

By the way I had a DILD last night plus two FA, both lucid.

well, anyone can edit an audio track and i don't really know anything about these tones...

the track i used last night was about 5:30 min. - i really just cut out the bits that i thought were repeating for too long and a couple parts where it was silent for a few seconds.

i don't really know if it could be used to avoid having to sleep for a few hours, though - when you first get to sleep you go into deep sleep before any REM periods, so the timing of your attempt should still be frustrating if done before any prior sleep.

i would think it should be used depending on what your habits are. after listening to the track around 2 & 4 am i think i fell asleep a bit sooner than usual, which actually got in the way of what i normally do in the morning - but that's because my methods are different from yours.
however! it was very nice to use it when i first got in bed - i got to sleep sooner, which is what i want at that point, and i'm sure other people could use it in a similar way. i'll probably tweak the track a little more and keep using it before any sleep.

There's a problem here. These tracks are made the way they are for a reason. The brain is incredibly complex, and when using these tracks we are essentially causing the brain to increase or inhibit it's own neurons to release K+, and Na+... which are the molecules which in certain concentrations create the polar properties (charge) of each neuron, and in turn effects our mind in various ways.

These tracks must be specific, and as such best results would come from a large sample size using the exact same track so that I get the data I need so I can extend or shorten the length that a certain hz is played, or change the hz altogether!

Regardless, you're free to do what you please. But for me to make the most effective track possible I need everyone to use the same track, because even just an extra second of one tone, or one less second of silence, will change the overall effect drastically.

I'm going to do more testing on myself today, in an attempt to cause hypnogagic imagery (hallucinations) while completely awake and alert. I will post my results in detail (sensations during certain parts) as well I'll make a second, even longer track where I'll try something a little new (mad scientist laugh) which I will try not tonight (because I'll be trying the one I already have) but tomorrow night.

I downloaded your tracks.. and so far I've only tested them once. However the night when i tested them, I had two lucid dreams.. Though when I tested them, I only DILD'ed. Then again, I tend to have a lucid just from watching this forum.. ;)

It's a start! Congrats! I've made a new, better track... which gets me very vivid dreams and gives me very high recall. I haven't a lucid with it yet, but that's more due to a lack of trying.

It's about 15 minutes long, and it's much 'smoother' overall than the other one I posted. It starts at the low end of waking frequency... 15hz. It then very gradually drops all the way to about 6hz. I added a few silent parts. So just because it goes quiet, don't thinks it's over. I also tweaked the pitch for every new frequency so it hovers around 115 - 135hz... which I find quite calming. I tweaked the volume in certain areas as well.

Yeah. Just listen to that one. It's my newest, and my best track. I've gained extremely vivid dreams with amazing recall using this track... and I'm trying for a LD with it tonight.

anyone else had luck with this?

There is a program called I-doser on the web, its a ''online drug'' wich uses I think brain waves to get your mind to do something. Like think you smoked some weed etc. The sounds are exactly the same as these, haha!

I'm downloading then right now, but I think you should upload them somewhere else, because mediafire only gives me 54kb/s. I Normally download with 2mb/s.

Had the same problem with the other 2 tracks, wich I didnt use because I didnt want to spend 40 minutes downloading before bed.

I just remembered very gapingly but nonetheless vivid clips of a dream last night. What was astonishing about it was that it was only 3 to 3.5 hours after first going to bed, I didn't even try and remember it. I normally only remember my dreams latter on when in my more powerful rem cycles. Got some open eye visualizations of white sparks while listening to the isocronic files similar to what one would experience from long term mediation into hypnotic imagery. And to whoever brought up I-doser, I'd recommend staying far away from their overtly priced files.

Going to try V 2.0 tonight. So should I listen before I go to bed? During a WBTB? As Im going to sleep at the beginning of the night or as Im going to sleep for a WBTB? Does it even matter lol?

Absolutely. If you take a look at my Dream journal you'll see I've had a long dry streak, but since listening to this EVERY night I've had very vivid and intersting dreams... which I recall perfectly.

It does matter. Listen to it right before bed, or right before returning to sleep during a WBTB.

Results: My dry streak of only one non-vivid dream fragment in the last 6 days has ended! Last night I had 1 short non-vivid dream and one nice, long, vivid dream. Nothing lucid (the dreams were actually consistent with reality, unfortunately), but thanks a million, mindwanderer!

Awesome! Glad to hear it! You can't have a lucid till you consistently have vivid dreams and good dream recall... and this sounds like a start!

I've found an IPhone app like this but with different settings and stuff for $1.99. Do you think I should use this instead of the app?

Remembered about two dreams but that is my usual. All I did was listen and then go to bed tho so I'm going to try it again with WBTB.

Last night I listened to V 2.0 three times in a row, followed by putting sine wave tone LD2 on repeat, while I slept all night. It continued to give me weird feelings every time I woke up. The third time I awoke within 5 minuets felt that sp feeling and rather than my normal loud as thunder sp, got very little feedback (the kind that scares most people). And instead received my first all voices sp. I can take all the sounds of over the top thunder and static, banging on walls ect, but when stuff that's not there starts talking at you while your frozen it's a little intimating. Made it through, but lost my lucidity quickly due to excitement. I have no doubts this file has had an effect on my dream recall and dream vividness, and I don't think it's just placebo. Also According to my sp: ad ad mill the pant.

I have listened the V2 track the last two nights and it worked nicely. I have 3 brief LD (the last one I had was a month ago) and it increased the recall, too. The only 'problem' (well, I wouldn't exactly call it a problem) is that sounds get scary sometimes.
I'm going to continue listening it before going to bed and with WBTB (like I did the past nights) and let's see if it goes on working as fine as it did until now.

I listened to V2.0 last night, looped the track and listened to it before bedtime. I tried to do some autosuggestions (my lucid mantra) but it was difficult to concentrate on them with the tone playing, so I just tried to clear my mind and meditate on my breathing. After about 40 minutes of listening I turned it off so that I could go to sleep.

No lucid dreams or particularly vivid ones, however my recall seemed better than normal this morning. I was able to recall an incredibly long, sprawling dream; the images just kept coming back to me after I woke up and started writing, going further and further back into dream time until I had recalled what seemed like a 5 hour dream. It's pretty unusual for me to remember dreams this long; events that happen earlier in the dream usually get lost. I've done binaural beats before but never isochrons - I'll probably be trying them again.

I like your idea but am a little confused. My research indicates that REM sleep is a higher frequency, closer to 10 or 12 in fact. Can somebody please clarify.

Also i wonder has anybody ever recorded brainwave frequencies during the lucid state. It seems REM frequency is quite close to the waking frequency. Perhaps to induce lucidity one could use isochronic tones too obtain a brainwave frequency between that of REM and awake states.

Listened to V2 before going to bed. I remembered 3 very vivid dreams and I usually only remember 1-2. I had no lucid dreams because my reality checks were not working. :?

I tried this. I remembered 3 extremely vivid dreams. No lucids yet.

I'll try this tonight and report back with results. Very interesting.

This helped me with recall as well. Normally I only remember fragments of one or two dreams, and when I used the version 2 last night I remembered two very long, very vivid dreams, which were awesome :D
