What am I doing wrong?
So I've always wanted to be able to control my dreams and I found out that there actually is a term for this, lucid dreaming. I have read up on it for hours, about reality checks, dream journals, how to induce it, dream recall etc. So from what i've read, I need to develop a better dream recall, well, for the past 2 weeks i've had a dream almost every night that I have remembered 90% of each probably. I don't have a dream journal because my memory is like a 6th scent almost to me, haha. I perform reality checks every so often, I tell my self I will have a lucid dream but it just wont happen. When I dream, even if everything is out of place, during the dream it all feels like its normal and I don't realize I'm dreaming. Also, every night i wake myself up in the middle of the night just because it helps me sleep better, and im pretty sure thats what's helping me dream, but they are never lucid. Can someone help?
I understand all these different techniques like WILD and DILD, but what I really would love to know is, what do you guys do when you lay down in bed? What do you focus on, how do you position your body, what do you think about, what are your eyes set on, etc.
Thanks a ton!

I do not know how to help, but lucid dreaming is not controlling your dreams, but knowing you are having one.... and knowing is half the battle ;)

when i try to WILD i must sleep on my back so the only thing i do is swallow sometimes, even if i lay in my normal sleeping position my neck starts hurting very badly so i can't do that.

Ok, well looks like your in my old shoes pal. I say old, cause this isn't a problem for me anymore. Anyway, as you may have read, it takes time for these things to work. I use the MILD, which requires tons of patience and persistancy. I'm a very impatient dude, but who isn't? After being patient and persistant, I was starting to LD like every other night! Maybe you should try the MILD. It works really well. If it takes awhile to LD with the MILD, don't worry! That's how it begins. That's the time when patience and persistancy kicks in. Believe in those two words, and it'll come! GOOD LUCK!
