Predicting Dreams

Hi everyone,

I don't know if this is the right part of the forum for this post, as it is my first here, but I couldn't help but share this with you. I've always been a very "clear" and vivid dreamer, what I mean by that is that when I wake up I remember everything in almost full detail, and for several days to come without even focusing on it. My dreams are pretty much movies in my head, sometimes I'm in control and sometimes I'm not.

I bumped into this site when I read something about taking control of your dreams and lucid dreaming - I read the tutorials and such, started a dream journal but then kind of lost track of it due to other stuff. But my post is not really about lucid dreaming anyway.

I've had those vivid dreams all my life - sometimes a bit more vivid than others, but still. The thing that really freaks me out though, is that occasionally my dreams predict the future. I hope that doesn't sound cheesy, but it's really the case.

And I'm not talking about things which can be explained rationally. I like to think of myself as a pretty rational person, so I won't immediately regard something my subconscious is sending through in a logical way, as some kind of "amazing future prediction".

The problem is though, that most of the things I dream and come true, are so trivial but detailed, and unexpected, that the odds of coincidence are so small imo. Let me give you a few (real) examples:

- During my first year in college, I had a dream where I was on a plane (I wasn't going to take a trip soon/taken one shortly before - no real reason to dream of a plane, I assure you), it was taking off, and as soon as it reached a certain altitude it came crashing down. Next shot was me, standing amidst the jungle, looking at the wreckage of the plane, surrounded by African people taking pictures of the wreckage. When I woke up, I made some coffee, switched on the computer and the headline news was that of a Rwanda flight which had crashed in the jungle shortly after take-off that night. I think that was the first time it happened.

- Same thing happened about a year later, when I was at home, dreamed of another plane crash, woke up, went downstairs and found my mom watching the news in the kitchen, and jokingly said: "I dreamt of another plane crash, is it in the news?" - and it was.

Now you might think I dream of plane crashes every night, and it's bound to come true once, but the weird thing is that I don't. I don't have special affection with airplanes, I don't read about it or watch television shows, but those two times I dreamt about crashes and they came true (the first in a more detailed way than the second).

The other main examples concern people. About a year ago, I dreamt that a friend (who I literally hadn't heard of for 6 to 7 years) gave me a phonecall, and the next day he did. Once again, there was absolutely NO indication he would, no reunion, no get togethers, no birthday, no nothing, it was purely out of nowhere but yet I dreamt it the day before. And last night, the same happened. I was walking down the street in my dream when suddenly, a friend from college passed me by and asked how everything was going, etc. In real life, I haven't seen him for about 2-3 years and haven't had contact (not online, no mail, nothing). He was in a rush so we didn't really get past the "hi how are u"-regular stuff in my dream, but when I woke up I had an e-mail from the same person, telling me how long it's been and inviting me to his housewarming party.

It kinda freaked me out, and this is the first time I've had another one of those "predicting dreams" since I know this forum, so I just had to share.

I hope you believe me because I wouldn't really know why I'd come on here and make this stuff up, but it freaks me out sometimes. Plus, there are a couple more examples but I can't really recall more at this time.

Is there any knowledge about this? People with the same experience?

P.S.Don't tell me this is coincidence, because surely it can't be. Like I said, if I would dream of people I haven't seen in a long time every single night, there would be a good chance of actually having one of them mail me the next day. The weird thing is that I don't, and I only dream of them when something like this actually happens. Same thing with the plane crashes.

I had a string of about 5 in a row, in May. For two, the events occurred within a week, and for two, the events happened on my vacation (which lasted about two weeks, and ended about a week ago). The fifth one occurred at the beginning of July, and it had a bad ending, which I managed to prevent by recognizing the beginnings of it.
Other than those 5, though, I haven't had any others.

Thanks for your reply. Seems pretty great that you were able to recognise the beginning of the bad one and were able to prevent it!

I wonder if there's any way to "enhance" this "ability". Also, I still wonder how it's possible to begin with. I refuse to believe it's mere coincidence, yet I don't see another rational explanation...

They are called precognitive dreams. You are seeing into the future. Or maybe you are astral projecting into the present sometimes, as with the plane crashes.

Please don't be afraid. No one wants to hurt you. We just want to recruit you to be one of us. This is why you came here.

Thanks for the answer. And yeah I know, besides I'm not afraid (don't know why I would be) nor do I think someone is trying to hurt me :) When I said I freaked out, I actually meant I was amazed at the fact things like that are able to happen.

Guess I should read up a bit more on these things though, cause I have absolutely no idea what astral projection means for instance.

Astral projection is your astral self traveling the astral plane, which is like a mix between the dream and physical plane. I think you can also be on the physical plane while in this state, or at least affect it. So, if you have a dream of something actually happening in the present, it's probably an out-of-body experience, or astral projection, not a dream.

What does it mean when we see things that come to pass?
There is a definition of sentience, the function that the mind performs. And it is the solution to the name of the Beast in Revelation.

6, 60, 200, 400, (To shutter, with the conversive ending, One is actually told 4 times in the text to arrange the numbers in this order, and that the message would be revealed at a particular time in history) "To shutter so as to turn the past into the future and bring the future to pass." That is what judgment does. And, as that is actually what the scripture is about, the evolution of human judgment, it is also why it is used as the only means to prove the existence of "God". Judgment in Truth is God. It is not an anthropomorphism, it means that same thing as the mind has a particular virtue.

And it is also a question, when you learn of things to come that you did not bring to pass. Perhaps you can figure it out.

And by the way, it is not about mysticism--it is about judgment based on objective reality.

Now, if one actually understands it, it can be quite a shock.

One thing you should realize, the future does not exist. There is no tense error. One is simply being told what someone else will have happen-- because that is the definition of sentience, the function of judgment.

Judgment is not possible without standards in language. It is because man lacks these linguistic standards that the Scripture has been sealed to man's understranding. There is no other magic, no secret decoder ring codes.

When these standards become effective in the mind of man, man's entire psychology will have changed. The mind of man will at last awaken. The dead shall rise.

PS, how is one told the solution in the text?

1) First of all, the shutter, the one with the key is in the OT.
2) One is told that a just man uses one standard. i.e. standard numbering.
3) 400, 200, 60, 6 makes no word. however 400 ends words, it is the conversive ending. turn them around.
4) All the images that describe the beast is used in the OT to describe God--and in one place. What is the relationship of God to man--image.
5) Let him who has wisdom count . . . counting sequence.
6) He shall make an image of the beast. . . .

To shutter so as to turn the past into the future and bring the future to pass.

To have life, and to have it more abundantly. That is what judgment is for.

There it is. A puzzle developed and carried out over thousands of years waiting for man--but unseen because that which is needed is the judgment that is being developed.

So, the Holywood Beast, in so many movies is a reflection, for the puzzle is a mirror of the human soul, a soul without judgment. All that horror is man and it is up to us to change that. The real Beast 666 is The Spirit of Truth.

It just happened again! I've been staying at my dorm now for about two weeks, cause there's a really big paper I need to hand in by the end of the month (although it's summer holiday, I know). Because it's vacation, there's noone here (I live in a building which has 10 rooms).

Last night I dreamt that one of the girls who live here came over, and I had to help her get home. In my dream, I actually drove her home. Weird thing (ONCE AGAIN) is that I hardly had any contact with this girl during the year (besides saying hello in the hallway), and she hasn't been here during the two weeks I've stayed (as I've been all alone most of the time).

Just now, my doorbell rang and there she was, out in the rain, thanking me because she had lost her key and "couldn't get home without me".

I'm not making this stuff up, I swear!

Also, thanks for the explanation WakingNomad. Being out of body is actually a pretty interesting theory, since I dreamt about meeting with the guy (from the housewarming mail in my first post) right about at the same time I was getting the e-mail from him in real life (as I later noticed). Same thing has happened a few weeks earlier btw, getting a mail from my Professor and dreaming about it at the time (early morning) he was sending it.

And Philosopher, I have no idea what you're talking about or how it relates to this topic.

Don't worry about it. I am just curious about something-testing one might say. I find it amazing that when people see things to come, that they cannot relate it to an entire book of prophecy, and do not see how it relates.

What I have come to suspect, is that Lucid Dreaming is a type of school. It is a school that prophets use to learn in. Now it stands to reason, that a textbook would be developed, i.e. the Scripture may be of some help.

However, it would be a very elite type of school. Lucid Dreaming may be freely available, but how far one can understand is up to the individual. One might say, it is about psychology.

One might come to suspect, it is a school of the Universe. Maybe it is, maybe not.

An idiot would think about building space ships stumbling around from one planet to the next, carrying contagions to that place and bringing some back home. Having learned nothing from human history and the millions of lives lost with this kind of stupidity. Something more civilized would be establishing psychological paridy. So, no matter how good the plot or the graphics on sci fie, it is still written by an idiot.

Instead to stumbling around the galaxy and standing up as a target, in species contact, the first thing to be done is to help the lesser to think before anything else proceeds.

So, yes, I suspect that lucid dreaming and everything that happens during it has a functiion directly related to human psychology. And that is for a purpose also.

Wrapping it all up, one must see that there are questions and answers. How primitive is a species reaction to telepathic education? How primitive are their notions? How willing are they to put forth the effort to change, and how capable? So many questions. I am just exploring.

Well, apparently she had been at her room earlier that day (although 1.I hadn't heard her because I usually have earplugs in while typing to cancel out the noise from the street and 2.That was already after I had dreamt about her) but when she left, she forgot to take her key with her and she only noticed when she tried to get back in the main building. It was raining outside, so she was standing there and decided to ring all the doorbells because she hoped there was someone else in the building. She initially thought she had lost her key, but later she found out she had just forgotten to take it with her.

So I dreamt of her the night before, asking me to "take her home", and the next day she was standing at the door literally saying "I wouldn't be able to get home without you", because her stuff and train card etc. was still in her room so she couldn't leave for her real home.

Odd isn't it!
