Easy way to O.B.E for Lucid Dreamers!

Easy O.B.E guide for any Lucid Dreamer!

Hello and welcome to my guide. I'm new to lucid dreaming and I could lucid dream in 4 days but I have a great cheat for all you O.B.E hungry dreamers!

This particularly works well with the W.I.L.D lucid dreaming method but any method is acceptable.

Assuming you can lucid dream, once you are lucid in your dream, you are able to wake yourself up on command, after doing so, Stay very still!

Dont take notice of your physical body, in about 20 second of ignoring your physical body you will start to be hit with a wave or sleep paralysis which will seem like a heavy blanket is layed on top of you. And if any of you guys have been studying O.B.E's sleep paralysis is the key to having an outer body experience.

Once in sleep paralysis remain calm, prepare yourself for loud rushing noises and powerful vibrating. This is what people describe as a trance. Your astral body splitting from your physical body.

Remain calm and DO NOT MOVE!!!!! None of these noises or vibrations can hurt you and always remember, O.B.E's are a wonderful and are a very natural thing.

After the Sounds and vibrating have past, remain calm and still DO NOT MOVE. You will have to preform Movement-free reality checks to see if you are in an O.B.E.

Try and sink into your bed by imagining a pushing sensation if you sink into your bed, do not be alarmed and do NOT move.. Try twisting and if successful you are in an O.B.E.

This method has worked for me many of times, and I personally have had more O.B.E's then lucid dreams!

!NOTE!

The reason why W.I.L.D's work well with this method is because while you are drifting off into a dream you could think about explaining to someone what an O.B.E is.

I personally when I get into a real relaxed state where i think im going to start dreaming, i imagine talking to a best friend about outer body experience's. And to actually turn my thoughts into a dream i say "And in outer body experiences you can do this"

Thats when I start flying and become inside a dream while lucid. I then wake myself up and stay still and sleep paralysis occurs. Relaxing using my mind and i start the woudnerful O.B.E experience.

my friends trying to do this, he's been trying to for a while,
hes got all these crystals, and oils to help him, be he says he hates the vibrations and chickens out at the last minute. lol

Hahaha, yeah the vibrations when i first started really bothered me, mainly the noises as they get more intense though.

I often think someone is breaking through my window but give him 1 tip for me:

An O.B.E is completely natural and all the vibrations and noises are natural... It can only lead to a good experience :)

I've been on the learning to astral travel train for a few weeks now and can't seem to get past the trance stage, although I'm mainly trying before bed.

It seems to me that the hardest part is realising when youre seperating from your body, well for me anyway....but I'll try this a little with the WBTB thing and see how I go!

Good work and keep it up. Its only a matter of time until you get it.

Remember once in paralysis relax and stay calm. A common mistake is made by alot of people and thats not knowing when they are separated.

Remember you have to be calm throughout the vibrations and noises. And do the movement free reality checks after everything has stopped.

I have had sleep paralysis some times resulting in a few OBE's. I also had a few false awakenings which were actually OBE's.
But the last sleep paralysis experiences I had were so awful I could not make any use of it. I hear a scream inside my head that just goes louder and louder and I try to endure but I end up screaming in pain and then I wake up.

My movement free reality check i personally use is (what i call) the "cork screw".
The reason i don't mention it in the guide is because sometimes it can be quite hard for beginners.

The cork screw is when you levitate about 40cm's above your bed and do a twist in the air.
This is sometimes hard for beginners, but give it a go! And your O.B.E's will be brighter.
But If you are beginning with O.B.E's i would try sinking into your bed and turning.
Imagine a force pushing you into your bed, use the feeling of sleep paralysis and think of it as a weight that will sink you.

Wow..so this is from my dream journal from last night:

I had a very vivid interesting dream - I only really remember the last part - I was talking to a woman who's face was taking up the entire dream scape. She was looking directly into my eyes and with a very beautiful voice said "You can do it, go for it." and I woke up.

Instantly upon waking (I did not open my eyes) I heard a loud solid tone that kept getting more pronounced. I also was experiencing these huge pulsating rushes coming up from the base of my spine up to my head then flowing over the rest of my body. I mean these pulses were INTENSE. My heart (chakra?) was beating super fast and it also seriously felt like there was some type of being or beings around my bed trying to help push me along or something. Anyway, I concentrated on an exit technique (imagining a rope and climbing up it) and I got this feeling that I was being pushed through my headboard. I think the feeling of going through my headboard was to strange for me and that ended up canceling the exit because the ringing and pulsing started to fade, and I was back to normal.


And now I'm reading this tutorial...Interesting :)

I guess I need to practice more and try to overcome the strangeness of going through objects.

On another forum I visit regularly I posted the same thing and an experienced APer said this:

"Also, rather than just doing an exit technique have a target spot in mind you will go to once out of body... like the door of your room or another place in your house. Then you won't get hung up on the 'getting out' phase and begin to go somewhere under your own direction."

I think that advice is going to help ALOT.

I ALMOST HAD IT...... You know when a dream is ending you can tell as it goes black. When that is what happened and I paid very close attention, I felt the vibrations that I get when I go into a lucid dream, but the vibrations were way more subtle. Maybe that was the reason I could not do it? I tried to turn during the vibrations but it felt like I was moving my real body and it got me confused so I stopped turning halfway, and then before I know it I was already woken up. Got any suggestions on how to make it easier? Thanks for the tutorial by the way; would never have thought of the vibrations after you dream. :thumbup:

First of all, congratulations on your progress so far.

But straight away i knew what your problem was.

It states in my guide that you should wait until all vibrations and rushing noises have fully stopped before doing any reality checks.
One of the reasons the vibrations are more subtle is because your not waiting until the vibrations have fully ended.
Then you will see how strong the vibrations will get, although some people's vibrations are more subtle they should be quit strong.

Summery: Wait for your vibrations to fully end. You will find that if you wait until they finish they will get strong. Not only that but you will start to hear Rushing, ringing and/or screeching noises. These noises depend on the individual.

After all of these sounds have finished completely, it is time to exit using a movement-free reality check. GOOD LUCK!

Hello, i almost just tried your technique in a nap WILD, i got past the noises and the vibrations, it worked well, and i was sure i was gonna have my first AP/OBE, but then i was woken up... by my dog, dang. I will try this again when i go to sleep.

About 1 year ago i had that exact experience explained precisly in your guide without knowing what was happening, I was scared to death during vibration thinking i was dying (as i was concious from Lucid Dream to OBE). The concious part of it really made me be awake enough to think it was death itself.

Now since that day i study OBE and Lucid Dream to reach that state again and face it fully. Even After resisting Vibration and Noise, i went through, and saw 3 body lying (left one was my dream body, middle one was astral body, and right one was my body sleeping in my bed) i felt the sensation of a soul quitting the middle body, hips first, toward the sky. Fear bringed be back to earth xD
But now i quite understand there is more to life, more depth to reality, what is reality ect..
Im Glad i found your guide as it securise me unconciously. i feel that at one point i have to stop understanding intelectualy the experience and now push it to the subconcious. Im also more interested in "oneness " "emptyness" "higherseflf" ect ect.

For now i gain lucidity in dream, try to understand more that my body is in my bed and that i have to go on with my plans. But now i see i could be also one of those that OBE more than Lucid Dream, as its more my goal too.

It really felt like those DMT experience, the space around, the perspective, i couldnt tell wich of the 3 body i was, who am i.
I will surely stick around this forum and thanks again for your Guide! Thats exactly what i wanted to revive and analise.
This is real! im not crazy. Its fantastique how "magic" it is. what an adventure and a discovery of who we are , and our possibility!!!

How can you tell you had an OBE instead of a false awakening? I only ask because I had a LD once and then woke up. I stayed completely still not moving. I looked around at my room and everything looked like my room until I started seeing images passing by about 5 feet in front of my vision. I thought I had a false awakening...maybe not.

I tried this many times and I would lay there for a long time without anything happening. It wasn't until I came across Michael Raudag's book that I started to have success as he gives precise instructions for what to do when awakening from sleep.

That's a very good point. At that time I wasn't even aware of OBEs and FAs, but I had a lot of FAs and then I had something different. For example, one early morning I "woke up" and got up to go to the kitchen as I always do to have a glass of water. Everything looked perfectly normal, position of objects, distances, etc, except for a strange golden glow and dim light filling the whole house. I thought it was due to sunrising, but still looked odd. Then I reach the kitchen and the washbasin is full of kitchen clothes in water. I found that bizarre, because there was nothing there when I went to sleep at night. Maybe my mom put it there, but she would never wash cloths in the kitchen sink, for as much as I know. I found that detail bizarre and thought "Hum, this must be a dream!", so immediately I was sucked in into blackness and woke up in my bed.
Alright. Then I got up, went to kitchen for my glass of water and although it was early morning and the sun had just rise, there was no funny light in the house. And then I found the kitchen sink full of cloths on water. My jaw dropped. I then asked my mom when she woke up if she had done it and why and she said yes and that, contrary to what she always did - putting the clothes on some bucket on the bathroom to wash them - she for the first time ever had decided to put them on the sink soaking all night. And she had done it after I went to bed on some late night cleanings. There was no way I could ever had guessed she was going to do it.
It was a really stupid detail, but worked as a charm to confirm that I had actually been on that kitchen and not on a dream kitchen projected on my mind.
I don't know if there's any trick to confirm each time which is which. In my cases the OBEs I know I had were confirmed by little details like this, of seeing things that I couldn't know were there. Try going outside of your room or your house and try to find something different from the usual situation and then confirm on awakening if that thing is there as you saw on the OBE/FA.

Thats a pretty cool experience and a crazy detail for confirmation. I think that LDing is very close to OBE in energy phase and one can reach an OBE directly out of an OBE which may be what happened to you .... maybe me too.
