Having a different opinion isn´t assholery. Did you have content overlap or actual shared dream space with him? And btw what do you think about nomad´s posts in this thread?

Not content overlap, what seemed like exactly the same environment with the same events happening and we also had the same friends around us. It really spooked us out when he started telling me what happened. I let him say his whole side of the dream without telling him anything so that I didnt feed him any info. The second dream wasnt as incredible as the first but still some very interesting similarities which lead us to believe it was shared.

Sorry I dont like calling someone an asshole and I apologize, but the way you were expressing your opinion was as if it was fact and I know shared dreaming seems very very obsurd to most but to those who have experienced it it most definatly is not.

And about nomads posts in this thread... I have not experienced anything like what he describes but I do find it very interesting. I cannot say whether or not it is true, I am very open minded and I would love to try to look further into some of the stuff he has talked about. The truth is we realy know so little about dreams and this dream world that we enter every night, although some people try to say they do. All we can do is experience what we can and gather conclusions from these experiences. Every single person in this world are going to have different views and thats whats amazing about it. I dont think we should be telling one person they are wrong or another he is right because of what your conclusions are. Accept what they think, I personaly love reading any post from nomad, he brings so much light to these forums in my opinion

Ghost I haven't personally experienced much of what Nomad talks about in this thread. But what I have holds true to my personal experiences. And yes calling it shared wanking is being an ass hole.

If no one opposes shared wanking/dreaming, dv will completely accept it as a fact, and new members will be totally misguided.

Listen this is just turning into a flame war. What evidence do you have that shared dreaming isn't real. Have you tried it yourself!

The evidence is pretty much just that ppl who claim to sd in here, also claim a whole bunch of other outrageous stuff to be real too. Like you for example, didn´t you post you were attacked by a pyrokinetic?

Yes I did. Now weather or not it was his mind that he was using or not I do not know. I understand your skepticism, I am the same way until I experience something. But this man was genuinely targeting me. I watched him in the reflection of my iPod screen. When he started focusing on me I felt the warm spot returning. After looking back at him twice he left. And I've never seen him again. Which isn't all that odd, but most of the time I see people around campus a lot. Could it just be a coincidence, yes of course it could be. But could he have been channeling energy, maybe. Perhaps I am to quick to jump to conclusions. But having this experience changed my opinion of the world.

My advice would be: don´t let a warm spot on your neck change your opinion about the world.

I was getting burned on a cloudy day. In one localized spot. It penetrated through my cloths. Idk how to explain it but it happened.

Yea but wouldn´t something like naural pressure or one of those hot-feeling bug bites be a lil more reasonable explanation than someone trying to make you feel hot on the neck?

I don't think so. This is beyond dreaming. This section is Specifically for those who want to discuss these subjects. Me, and everyone else involved with the interest of shared dreaming aren't trying to force it down's anyone's throats. This is an open and public forum, and opinions will vary all the time. There's room here for skeptic, and believer and everyone else in between. There's nothing wrong with that. Even if this section is shut down and all of us are banned who are interested in this happen. You are still going to get newbies posting "was this a shared dream" all over the forums. Then another Waking nomad, Mosh and Raven will come along and just do the same thing. I am not forcing anyone to believe in anything. If people don't believe in it, that's fine... I have no problem with that. I don't believe in christian religions, but you don't see me trying to convert religious people to my views. Let people be people. Like attracts like. No one is going to be misguided towards anything if everyone gets to choose what they want to believe and practice.

You know ghost94, whenever I read your posts, it seems like I'm reading a fundamentalist christian fighting for creationism, despite you being skeptic, your points barely make sense.

To ghost94, there is a thing called respecting others' opinions, even though you are sceptical doesn't mean you can call it shared wanking. I'm at least half sceptical about shared dreaming because I haven't experienced it myself, but it doesn't mean I go insulting people on forums. If you really don't believe in shared dreaming, you will have hard time having one, the same with LDs.

Ghost94, if you don't believe in it, why don't you test it out on your own? I know you're trying it with your friend, but that's a really small sample size and unreliable because your friend may or may not be a consistent lucid dreamer. Do you actively try to enter his dreams?

You can't make statements one way or another unless you've conducted an experiment for yourself. I'm not telling people either way, simply because I haven't done enough tests to prove it one way or another. I have a hypothesis based on the anecdotal evidence at hand, but I don't have any actual evidence for or against the proposed phenomenon. Once I get enough tests done, I will have a lot to say on the matter because then I'd have evidence to back up my statements. Never make unsupported statements and look for evidence to justify them; instead, gather the evidence first and then draw a conclusion based on the facts at hand.

I can assure you that if I do prove shared dreaming, I'll shove it down peoples's throats and shout it from the rooftops. I'll make threads and go all-out to convince everyone that it's real, because a true proven occurrance is not accepted by the scientific community.

If I prove shared dreaming is a lie, I'll do whatever I can to out the liars and present open challenges to them, shattering their credibility and ending the delusions once and for all.

But the key that you must realize is that I'll do these after I have evidence from my tests, not before. I don't go and attack people for something that may or may not be true. Now, I can say why I believe in shared dreaming because of what I have, but the sample size isn't large enough for me to state it as a fact. I conjecture that I'll experience it for myself, and if I do and I become better at LDing I'll invade your dream and post it on the site before you get a chance to, proving beyond doubt (to you) that shared dreaming is real.

I would like to try to have a shared dream with ghost, but from my experience it's hard to make it happen purposely with someone I don't really know. But if I find a slot in my busy night schedule, I might give it a try.

I dont like the illuminati very rich very powerful and controlling and yet i dont really no what they are but obv cant be good. so your saying basically the aliens sort of created us but we turned into fuck ups/Inbreds and its was a mess so they sorted us out and restarted and. I thought this was all very interesting, until I started reading more posts around subjects liek this where it becomes painfully obvious how into fantasy the authors of this bull shit are. If I was hearin this from people who weren't obsessed with RPGs, swords, magic etc. I might give it some credence. However, since you obviously glorify magic, swords, being some chosen one meant to save the world, and all that fantasy land bull shit (which I also enjoy, in books and video games... Even in dreams, I just know that they are far from reality) your credibility is diminished to nothing.

I mean, some of the concepts about other planes of existence and things like that seem pretty interesting to think about ,but when you have like "rules of engagement" and shit where you are pretty much trying to turn your dreams into an MMORPG, it unfortunately just makes me see straight through the bull shit.

With that being said, I want to know where I can find any somewhat credible information on the akashic records or higher planes of existence... I am starting to get more interested in this type of thing as I experience Kundalini awakenings randomly from time to time now, and I'm finally starting to become a bit spiritual (interested in chakras and stuff, whereas before in my life I've always been a realist and not believed in any higher power or religion... Agnostic basically) after realizing (from drug use, observations, etc) that we are all actually one consciousness experiencing life subjectively. I'm a college student, I live my life normally, but I do now believe that in 2012 something world-shaking will occur and I'm starting to believe in a higher power. Personally, out of all of the theories out there right now, I would be most likely to believe in the ancient alien theory...

Anyways, enough with the ramble. Just had to spit out some things that have been on my mind recently after reading some of the stuff in this forum, and due to some recent experiences I've had.

Wait what would be bad about making dreams like an mmorpg? They practicly are already role playing games the only different part here is the massivly multiplayer part... and the alien conspiracys.

I never really said I want to join you, I said I want credible information regarding higher planes of existence and the "akashic records". Interesting ideas to me, because lately I've entertained the idea of reincarnation and shit like that.
