I remember when I was very young I woke up and found an old lady staring at me. She was sitting in a rocker that was floating a couple of feet above the floor.

She was only about 2 feet tall and I spent the rest of the night with the covers over my head.

only when sleep paralisis thing happened I wokeup an there was this 3ft tall man standing beside my bed. then I came too an he was gone it was all very weird.

Its a strange and interesting question to ask, i do recall when i was a student, about a year ago now, leaving my door open one night when i got really drunk, forgetting to shut it, i remember waking up in the middle of the night and noticing someone next to my door, looking into their eyes as soon as i woke up, it was really creepy, but then i realized it could have been a conscious fear because i usually locked my door and my fears prob were heightened due to the fact my door was open.

When i was a kid about 4 or 5 every single night i was afraid to leave my room, even if i wanted to use the toilet, there used to be this shadow guardian (as i used to call it) that stood next to my door and wouldn’t allow me to leave, it was bizarre, now i think about it.

It's been happening to me since I was a child. I usually see small robed people standing there, but sometimes I will see something that scares the shit out of me. My wife would often awaken to find me sitting up in the bed and staring at something. When she would ask what I was looking at I would just tell her not to worry and go back to sleep. Then one night on the eve of Yule I awoke to find her doing the same thing. When I asked what she saw she said "a small robed person is standing at the edge of the bed". It freaked me a little because I NEVER told her what I always saw. That same morning when we went downstairs to discover that our Yule tree lights were plugged in (they absolutely were NOT when we went to bed).

Thats kind of scary when i was a kid 4-5 I once saw a shadow figure about 7 ft tall standing in my doorway i yelled for mommy (lol) and hid under my covers, then when i saw the hall light come on it was still there when i looked up, but right when my mom hit my light-switch it evaporated into the air he also had an axe

I had once woken up in the middle of the night and there was a lady in a blue dress and a clown by my door.


I got pretty freeked out but i was to tired to not be able to fall back asleep .

One time when I was a kid, I saw Santa Claus and his eight tiny reindeer on the neighbor's roof. He looked straight at me and said, "Ho, ho ho." Does that count???

Even to this day I still see things in my room as soon as I wake up at night. I always sit up, but when I focus the person is gone. I think I am hallucinating, but I know alot of times I'm not. I woke up one night to see something standing in the doorway to my room. I still fear leaving the door open.
Also I used to have dreams of a "shadow guardian" that was VERY creppy and whenever I would try to leave the room in the dark or go near the door it would violently attack scaring me till I woke up.

By the way Why the heck is it always robed people we see? Even I, they are always robed when I see them. I don't think they are good at all, because they frighten me. But any ideas?

ghosts are nudists but must where a robe in the human area?, anyways i know my mom closes the door to her bathroom since when its open she always feels like someone is standing there watching her(if you do stand and watch her while she's asleep she notices)

Well, that is funny, but seriously, when I am in a sci-fi, I don't want to take it off, b/c I am very shy about nudity!

I see or sense someone or several "people" and sometimes creatures in the room watching me as if trying to determine my level of awareness while sleeping (sometimes lucidity comes gradually kinda like "waking up" while still sleeping). They often take the form of a family member or friend, but as I become lucid I defensively shout at them and ask them why they are trying to trick me into believing they are friends. They usually don't say or do anything unless I move or attack them.

Yes, I have had that before, but I can only recall it happening once, when I was staying at my Nan's, I must have been quite young, to wake and find this weird kind of robot made of wooden beads standing on my bedside table. It was only about a foot high but didn't seem to really freak me out, if anything I was more curious as to why there was a midgit wooden robot beside me, but I think I must have gone back to sleep....

Yes, it's not a pleasant experience. Especially if you're young or inexperienced.
I kind of crapped my pants a few times when I was younger.

I remember once when I was a teenager waking up (I think it was a false awakening) to find a translucent blue figure standing guard (That's what it looked like anyway) at the side of my bed. As soon as I looked at it, it wipped around to look at me and zipped off as if I startled it. I spooked the spook! Go figure.

The fact that it spun around to look at me would have freaked me out!

This happened to me only twice.

Once when I was little I was aleep in my moms room with her. We were both sleeping when I suddently woke up for a minute. I thought about going to the bathroom but I started hearing voices. Like small voices coming from under and around the bed. I totally freaked out and hid under the covers. I don't remember what they were saying.

The other time I was like 16 (in my own room thank you) and I suddently woke up. There was a guy sitting next to me on my bed. I tried to scream because I thought someone broke into our house and I was about to get kid napped or something but I couldn't move. I was frozen. It was dark, but I could see he wasn't a whole lot older than I was, mabey mid 20's. Anyway he started to freak because he didn't want me to scream. He didn't touch me, but he started waveing his arms around and saying "Don't scream!" "Don't scream! It's okay! It's okay, You'll just wake everyone up. I'm sorry!" I wasn't calming down and all of a sudden It felt like I slammed back in bed and was out. A couple hours later, still freaked out I woke up, sat up, he was gone and I screamed. I never saw him again. Any ideas ???

no, cause i always keep my eyes closed when i wake up in the middle of the night cause i usually get a creepy feeling...

last summer, i was sleeping with my window completly open, and i remember that i was thinking that i should close them, but i thought that noone would come in through my window anyways, so i left them open, and went to sleep.

then after some time, all of a sudden there are like 10 people climbing in through my window, and many more came in the door from my livingroom, they all looked the same, black clothes, no faces, just eyes. they all just went to my bed, and stood in a circle around it, and i got damn scared, because it was so real..
i tried to wake my gf, but i could not speak, i tried to move but could not move..
then i decided to try as hard as i could to move, and suddenly i jumped up in the bed (i used all the muscles i had to try) and i actually landed on my gf.. heh, then she woke up and asked what it was that was going on..

it was damn scary..

Oh man! one time in 8th grade i was totally in REM i can even remember the dream, i was like in the car w/my family going somewher...then all of a sudden the car felt as if it were being pulled downward...i then opened my eyes 2 find my old best friend sitting right next 2 me 5 inches from my face...i screamed....he's a scary kid!
