I don't recall being able to bend my spoon lately... but I guess so.
I'm still learning psionics. (I'm trying to devote more time to my development with psi, but I'm currently working on LD, AP, and meditation as well.) As far as I believe, kenises is possible. I haven't personally done it myself, but I've read some literature that could back up it's possibility.
I've read into string theory, and how it links to all of the nonlocal arts (meditation, AP, and Psi.) If you have no idea what string theory is, then I don't want to sit down and try to explain it all, but it's a new physics theory of everything. We are to atoms, as atoms are to these little strings of vibrating energy, and this energy is in everything. It is a boundless, infinity where time and space do not exist.
Through our primitive three dimensional view point, we think that we are seperate beings. But according to string theory, everything is connected, and everything is simply these miniute energy strings vibrating at different frequencies. So, there is no seperation, say, between me and the spoon that I want to bend. So, it makes fundamental sense that I would be able to bend it realitively easily, as long as I focused my minds, and in turn, my energy.

well, they're supposed to work, after you've mastered psiballs and telekinesis. I think pyrokinesis is supposed to be easy too. Those other three you've mentioned are advanced, I think. Not that it worked for me. I've tried to do it a few times and gave up.Quote:

I wasn't talking about size. I was talking about detectability. All too often people who use science as the final ultimatum or authority forget that truth and science are often eventually proven not to be synonymous - as history has shown again and again... This is more of a philosophical argument I suppose and a pretty big tangent but I just had to get that in. :P :wink: I was originally attracted by this thread because I was hoping to find out what "aero, electro, and hydrokinesis" are. Can anyone explain?

aerokinesis- controlling the air with your powers
hydro- controlling water, like making ripples with your mind powers
pyro- controlling fire and its movements
electro- controlling electric, like turning lights on without touching the switch
telekinesis- ablility to move things like picking up pencils with yoru mind powers

I have dreams many times where I can control the air or the weather at will, sometimes produce fire from my hands at will, cause lightning bolts to strike at will and control water in the same way as air... Most of the time, though these end up in some sort of destruction or harm, so if possible I try to stay away from them and have found that they tend to occur when I feel threatened as if I have somehow learned these things by instinct rather than conscious or proactive will.

This thread is about kinesis in REAL LIFE. I'm sorry if you thought otherwise--I, too use 'superpowers' in dreams. But this is the Beyond Dreaming forum, and little relating to dreaming is to be found here (relative to the rest of the site). If the topic was how to use Aero, Electro and Hydro kinesis in dreams, it fits much better into the Dream Control forum. As to referring to your kin, it was a figure of speech. I was referring to all of these people getting together and chatting excitedly about these outlandish ideas.
Ayeet. I tink you and I agree then: If there are people who experience these types of kinesis "in real life," then I'm a horse with feathers and gills. I knew "kin" was a figure of speech. I resent anyone referring to my kin when they don't have a clue as to who I or my kin are.
alright, science is obviously something we shouldn't just write off...I mean it's our (humans) only way of explaining things that we experience....but..it definetely has flaws...science is only good enough to explain the things that are happening as we understand them...there's no why in science...that's its major flaw...we figure out why things happen and once we do that we completely write off any kind of reason for why it's happening...but I suppose it's the best we can do..but it doesn't mean it's the ultimate answer...our ignorance prevents us from that
