      Force outs?

This is supposed to me a method of astral projection. My dad told me a 'friend' of his used to use it with some other friends, but my dad didn't want to get involved in that, meaning the only thing he knows about it (or claims to know about it) is applying intence pressure to a person to 'force them out' or make them astral project.
Has anyone heard of this, used this, or know any more about this.
If you do could you please tell me how to do it, as the best results I have had is partial vibrational state before it is given up.

Also, slightly unrelated, but my dad also told me that if an astral projecting person is moved a significant amout they can die. Is this true?
Dream goals: Fly (hopfully grow wings), meet some fairies (especially out of a midsummer nights dream), compose a story or poem and remember it when I awake, meet Sylvia Plath or William Shakespeare.

Could you explain this a bit better? I can't make much sense of it. Applying pressure to a person, how so? While sleeping or awake? To their real body or their astral body? Physical pressure? What kind? I just don't get it. Also, what do you mean by moving an astral projecting person? Their physical body or their astral body?

      Sorry,
I mean applying pressure to a persons physical body, and while (I think) the subject is awake. I think the pressure would be applied to the main body, though about all these things I am not sure.

And about moving the person, I mean the physical body.

I am asking because I don't know much about this technique, and was hoping someone had heard of it, or something similar and could tell me how to use it properly.
      Thankyou.

I think your dad might be a little misguided. I'm not an expert on Astral Projection, but it seems you have a little bit of information to start. The key to astral projection is "body asleep, mind awake." You want your body to be asleep so that your mind can exit (so to say). Before you project, you're going to most likely feel exit signs from your physical body, such as the vibrations that you talked about in your first post. From there on, you're going to use your body's resting state to propel yourself into the astral planes. The key is essentially a separation of your body/consciousness, making sure that your mind is awake. If the trick is to keep your body asleep, applying pressure won't likely help that cause. Moreover, astral projection is finicky. If you move your body or wake up, it is possible that you will lose your projected state (though it is possible to keep it. People go to the restroom apparently. ). One exit sign is typically a very heavy body; your body is numbing and becomes heavy (just as you might feel in a trance state), and you might feel a pressure on your chest and whole body. I assume your dad believed that putting pressure on the body will help that feeling be stronger (stronger exit signs), and thus bring about a better/more likely astral projection. Theoretically... I don't think it's very plausible, but it could be possible. Very, very unlikely though. You want your body to be asleep.

      Hmmm...
I think the reason behind it (if it works) is that it somehow 'loosens' the 'cord' between astral body and physical body, though I'm not sure if the 'cord' theory is a widely accepted theory on astral projection or not.
That and/or making the astral self so uncomfortable in the physical bosy that it is forced from the body.

I haven't tried the technique for a while, so perhaps I will try it again, and say any results.
All I know is that it has got me vibrational before, and parts of my body have occasionally felt about a centremetre abouve my physical body.
