n00b here, can someone help me figure out what is going on?

Ok, so I joined this site because I have been experiencing some pretty crazy things, and the best I can do is say they remind me of dreams. And then I found this page. It happens when I am high, but it is not normal. It has only happened twice. The first thing that happens is I realize it is happening. Then everything starts spinning like a figure 8, or more accurately, infinity. It is almost like I am experiencing things through the "backdoor" or something... I have trouble realizing that this is the real world and think the life doesn't exist. When I get to one end of the infinity sign I become more aware, and the more aware I become the more I realize that on the other side of infinity I will not be aware. It reminds me a LOT of inception how they cannot tell their "dreams" from "reality" I know it may sound like just a messed up high, but I really think there is something bigger... Like I am getting a glimpse at something I shouldn't. I remember the last time it happened thinking "these are memories" but also "these are dreams" It scared me because in Inception he says do not dream of memories because you will lose sense of reality. I found this site because I googled making your own totem. I think maybe if I have a totem I would be able to snap out of it. I sort of did that last time it happened, because I was wearing different clothes and wasn't bleeding (the first time it happened I cut myself and started bleeding, but this time I just had the scar from it) Anyway, can someone help me out? Is this normal with mj (I have had normal experiences with it though, could it just be a certain strain?)? Has anyone experienced this outside of "supplements"?

I barely understand what you just said, but I can tell right away this probably isn't the right forum for your problem. You should consult a doctor or some other forum that is involved with this kind of stuff about this. Lucid dreaming is different from what I believe you described. You're free to learn about lucid dreaming, though! BTW, a totem wouldn't help. It sounds more like a hallucination versus a dream.

Welcome to DV, and I hope you find help soon!

EDIT: I just understood what you said, and now I can tell you won't find much help here. It's a hallucination, so you should consult a forum that is dedicated to hallucinations instead of lucid dreams. A doctor would also help.

Well, I already lucid dream but I do it naturally so I don't really know much about it. I know it's different because I was awake, I just wasn't sure if it classified as something else (why I posted it in the beyond dreaming section) I was thinking maybe a totem would ground me to reality and help me realize that there are two separate lines, reality and whatever it was I was experiencing.

Oh, OK, I didn't realize that. Well, you will find lots of good information on LDing here on Dreamviews! I still do recommend you find a different place for this specific problem, though. It's just a hallucination.

I don't 100% understand what your saying. Are you saying that you think the waking reality is also a dream or you can't figure out if this is a dream or not?
A totem I think is just like a personlised reality check If you think you are in a dream just look at your hands or plug your nose to see if you can breath through it.

He is basically having a hallucination when he is high on marijuana where he feels he is spinning in figure-eight shapes. He wanted to know if it classified as something else, but it's just a hallucination.

I think hallucinations are when the lines between the dream and waking reality get blurred. People go crazy because they can't tell the difference.
