There are many explanations for a phenomenon. For example, I have noticed that IBs like to make prominent isolated landmarks their home. In Japan they make "spirit houses" and in ireland they make "Faerie Houses". But a prominent boulder in the landscape or a lonely tree in a field are all homes for beings. A mountain focuses energy that an IB may establish as his territory. Flows of energy or where two or more flows of energy meet may be a nice place for an IB to hang out at. That is why there are river "gods" or mountain "gods" and ancestral spirits. This is the animism here. Of course, also it is your the retina in the corners of your eyes. You choose. Or you can choose both explanations.

This story reminds me of it. I only read half of it but it's still a great book, I just tend to have a problem with finishing books I start.

And if that's not strange enough, he starts seeing three little bald men dressed as surgeons, who go around snipping people's strings.

He also does some of the energy feeding stuff. It's a pretty trippy book.

I remember reading some of that book a long time ago. I don't remember why I didn't finish it. I either wasn't fully into it, or something else came up that took my time and I never got back to it. If I remember right, Lucid Dreaming is mentioned in it. I think the main character has a Lucid Dream at some point. And Stephen King uses the term Lucid Dreaming in the book. I remember being surprised by that. I should see if I can find that book. If I still have it, it's packed away in a box in the closet.

Yeah, he had lucid dreams. I totally forgot about that.

Addictive behavior attracts beings who are also addicted to the same things. I have helped alcoholics recover and become sober by banishing these beings. But it is up to them to keep the beings from returning and avoiding relapse.

As for the visualizing of white light: the actual visualizing of white light raises your frequency sympathetically and will stay with you while you sleep. Intention goes a long way. Intention is a kind of magic spell that you can trust. And trust goes a long way also. Trusting that most beings are unconcerned with you and that you have a strong power that they don't have, purity of a trusting heart, that protects you. That is what protected me during my experience of those three days and nights in Arizona. This purity of a trusting heart is what is symbolized by the white light. As long as you feel it, even if you don't visualize it, you will be protected. There is a kind of street smarts that one can have when dealing with journeying in these realms. Just like waking life, you don't walk around at night in the ghetto, you don't associate with criminals and people with no conscience, you hang out and exchange energy with people who are your friends and have similar consciences as you and your experience will be safe and fun. Let your heart protect you. The white light reinforces this intention and other beings take notice and respond accordingly. Creepy beings are afraid of the white light and of a pure trusting heart. Criminals don't target people with strength of integrity, and neither do inorganic beings with bad intentions. They pray on the weak and people who project helplessness and fear.

wow the part in the desert is so similar to an experience i had on acid at a festival once. that only lasted for a few hours which felt like days, but fuck man 3 straight days tripping like that has to be a massive challenge. luckily i somehow became lucid in the trip and swung it round to something positive, but cheers for sharing your experience dude

your point about keeping a tidy place rings true to me, and i always try and create a nice environment especially when trying to explore. however i feel that perhaps it is more about feelings of self image. ie you fear you are becoming a slob so project your fears into the mess so to speak...? just an idea

Dannon Oneironaut tells the story well, but I thought to add some aspects that come from my reality.

I also think that there are entities that embody spirit, emotions, thoughts and information. They make relationships with humans, symbiotic, abusive and other. If they live in union with human dreamers they too do change. I've had insectlike parasite in me one time and it freaked me out. It was not evil, just alien to me. It didn't so much eat my energy or emotions. It was just interested in my emotions and habits like eating and smoking. Later I've encountered descriptions of this kind of alien creatures also elsewhere and in some way understand those. If you end up with relationship with some of those entities reality can change and it's much to do how you deal with it - with fear or with curiosity and love. Dualistic worldviews can lead to worlds where two forces are fighting. You're on one side or between lines. But outside this dualistic box the battle is just a illusion.

There is also experiences of larger entities of information that make up this reality. Matrix and some gnostic ideas and other myths talk about it. Maybe they have just born or becoming aware of themshelves. They are not evil but take forms that reflect our imagination and worldviews. They can change your experience to hells and heavens and other realms.

But these things can't do anything that isn't inside you. Yes take can cling to your subconcius fear and shame, but if you face these things with compassion and calmness you can see that they are all inside of you. It's a one way to think. I prefer keeping my mind open about "outside" entities, but when things go too harsh I work with my inner things and don't believe in entities outside me.

This doesn't explain how love actually works, but it does say how many emotions work and where they may come from (that is, if you believe SSD's theory). When we are upset, we usually feel a pit in the bottom of our stomach, correct? Several religions and ideas believe that this is where your life energy/PSI energy/paranormal energy/aural energy/whatever energy resides, and that when you get that sinking feeling, your energy is down. Well, that relates perfectly with what OP's and DO's posts say.

Our guard is down when we are upset. Any surrounding entities may notice this, and they promptly come and suck at your energy. This leaves you helpless and open to many things, as to have ideas, thoughts, beliefs, and emotions, you must have the energy that provides it. When people are mad or disappointed, they are overflowing with energy. It's the same effect as when you are upset, it is just reversed. The entities feed you excess amounts of energy, so you have to get rid of it. This is where the angry feeling comes from; the feeling of your temperature rising, everything feeling like it's going up. They dispose their ideas and their negative feelings through the form of energy, and guess who needs some? You! You take this energy since your guard is down, and you accept everything they say as what is right and true. You are now possessed by their ideas and emotions, as well as the IB's. Nice job.

This is where we can explain rebellion and people that don't care about what you think. Some people have the unconscious ability to keep their guard up most of the time (if not all), even if they are upset. The angry person releases all of the excess energy, but since the person's guard is up (I will start referring to this as the aura), the ideas and energy cannot penetrate their aura, so it just goes off into nowhere and loops back around. It is possible to shut down this automatic function in rebellious people, but it takes much effort to do so.

This also explains how arguments are never solved until one relents. The excess energy goes back and forth between one person, but until one person becomes upset and there is space for the traveling energy, it will keep going back and forth until what should eventually happen does.

I could go on and on for a bit, but I won't do that now.

I agree. I have experienced this so many times that I was scared out of my wits every single night. Being an at-the-time strong Christian didn't help, either. Though after learning about SP and HH I figured this part out on my own. Since my mom is still a strong Christian, she probably still thinks they were demons, even if I try to tell her about this stuff. The last time I talked to her about LDing/SDing it ended in disaster.

We are cocreators with the spirit of earth.
Love is god. God is seen as the creator. Love is what creates new life.
It is the bonding between the polarities.
Your intention is much more powerful than you think it is.

Thank you for sharing this amazing experience. I took datura also, but very small oneirogenic doses. It always made me have dreams of Lady Datura. She is terrifyingly ancient and beautiful, all green, violet, black, and white.

Recently I have dicovered that my dads girlfriend has a flyer that comes in her room every night and steals her energy. It puts hateful thoughts in her mind all day long. It makes her very angry and full of dark energy. Today it stopped putting thoughts in her head, because there is alot of good energy coming up from the earth where we live right now and the energy of the enviorment cannot compete with the energy of the flyer's thoughts. So, these hateful thoughts disappeared, and her mind got quite and all of a sudden she became aware how how she was feeling. There was so much pain. When I came home from school she was crying, she hurt so much on the inside and felt guilty for being grumpy towards everyone.
I put some loving energy from my heart chakra into hers as much as I could, and then she went to the gym and got somemore loving energy probably from guys who were attracted to her. when she came home I used intent to break her connection to this flyer. The flyer has other flyer friends who probably would have came in my room tonight and stole my energy, and put bad thoughts in my head during the day time, but i used my intent to make sure they wouldn't get near me. The flyer probably will not mess with her again because it assumes that I will make it go away again with my intent. This flyer only took her energy. My dad also had a flyer except that one took energy from more than one person and only visited him occasionally. I used intent to make this one go away to. They are not that strong and like Dannon said they do not like light energy.
I you fight them on the astral plane while they are in your room they may leave you alone... or they might come back. if you eat them they will definatley come back. Intent is the best way to keep them away and its not that hard.
Nomad I will use intent tomorrow to keep them away from you. You have more than one.
Many people on dv actually have flyers that steal their energy.
I don't even think that them putting thoughts in your head has anything to do with stealing your energy. I think its just because they are evil assholes that want to bring everyone down to their level.

I know they like my energy because my roommate, who is a very rational and level-headed person came to me the other day and said "ok i believe you now - your bedroom is haunted".. now I am not afraid of human spirits in my room. I think what she noticed going on is the inorganic beings that hang around my room waiting for me to come back so they can get another meal from me when I meditate or sleep. I try to only emit loving vibes from my heart, but Ive started having really really terrifying dreams (falling into a pool of water in an ancient cemetary and sinking into it).. and I wake up really scared and heart pounding and I'm screaming. not fun, they get a lot of fear energy from me I feel like they are trying to pull me to their side in my dreams.
I believe I have a powerful energy.. If you could please explain using intent to make the bad ones go away I would be very grateful to you.

It is hard to explain intent. I will use my intent to make them go away for you. I am actually realizing that if you use intent there is a good chance they will come back but if you keep breaking the connection they will eventually leave you alone.

It doesn't make it more dangerous. They don't like it when you do that. I'm saying that they will be back again to steal your energy. They go to the same people over and over again to steal energy.
