The first ever that I remember was clearly a shared dream (I"m not saying there weren't ones before that) was about 8 years ago. Me and my sis were like 15 and 16 and were sharing bunk beds at the time. I remember seeing her in the dream, and I just remember us being fascinated and we started talking, there may have been something to do with a young man being there too, something strange happening, and we just thought it was really cool, and it seems (from her point of view) that we told each other we'd talk about it when we wake up because that would be awesome. I remember being aware of it and totally thinking that in the dream. . when we woke up---amazingly at the same time--we looked at each other with eyes wide open: "what was that?"
"hhah, I dreamed of you!"
"I dreamed of you!!"
"Hold on, for real, did you "
"Yes did you also see the guy"
"Oh my God this is so crazy!"
"hahaha"
"Hahaha" *awkward funny fascinated coolness*
I didn't write it down, unfortunately, I didn't keep a DJ back then. I thought Shared dreams would only be this specific and clear. But apparently, me and my other sister often come up to each other and say "hey, I dreamed of X" and the other would go "Yes I dreamed of X too! And it was at Y" and then the other would go "Me too! X and Y!! that's so weird our dreams are so alike." Haha.
I always knew there's a connection between my sister and other family members, but I never thought those might also literally be considered shared dreams. Especially because I dream a lot... Of MANY people. So I have many questions about the characteristics of shared dreams, especially the non lucid ones; I don't know which to consider shared dreams because I consider most of my dreams important and symbolic when they stand out. I never thought the people I see may have really been there with me.
How could I tell the difference?
