Thread: OBE Question

1) Not known by anybody, but there are definitely some theories. None of them have any proof to back them up.

2) No, only things in the astral plane. But you can't see those objects in the physical plane, so people can't see it. Also, it's "affect", not "effect."

There is a state you can get into where you can interact with the real world. You can't change anything, but you can do something cool that I read about from Robert Bruce. Next time you have an OBE and you are in the Real Time Zone (right when you get out of your body, and haven't entered the Astral plane yet.) try this:

1) Shuffle a deck of cards before your OBE and place one of them facedown on top of a table or desk in your bedroom.
2) Attempt to have an OBE. Once out of you body, move to the table.
3) Flip over the card and see what it is. Repeat the card to yourself a few tiems to make sure you will remember, then make yourself wake up.
4) After waking up, go over to the table and check the card. See if you were right.

I've personally never done this as I don't have that control over OBE yet, but Robert Bruce claims this will work for anyone. Pretty interesting.

Secondly, can you affect the people/things around you?

I missed the people part!
Its been a while since I had a full on OOBE but some very interesting interactions happen with people when you are OOB. A part of them sees you, and even will carry on a conversation with you, but their physical self ignores you totally. You can say shocking things to them and see if they react physically. It helps if you say it with great emotion. The real problem is that the world seems to have physical people and non-physical people all doing everyday things but I have never been able to tell them a part on sight.
Some people have also said they are able to affect their pets (such as hissing, tail wagging, barking) while OOB.

Still these are all pretty big things compared to, say, an electron. I am sure you could interfere with a tiny wire's conductivity and that a contraption surely could be built to detect this interference. Some of the wires in your computer are so small their width is measured in atoms! It wouldn't take much to bump a few electrons off in a rhythmic fashion to prove you are the one interfering. A project for another day perhaps.
