      Question on OBE sensation?

I have just started to investigate this phenomenon and was wondering if a particular sensation was normal and to be expected. What I have been doing before bed is listen to a 30minute Mp3 for astral projection and also do deep breathing at the same time. I have felt a small vibration which is normal, I have heard a pop in my head, I have had the sense of floating and sinking but the strangest feeling and strongest has been a strange entire body either twisting or rolling feeling. I am always lying on my back when preforming this exercise and the twisting seems to always be clockwise and the rolling is to my right side. Has anyone else experienced this and does anybody know how close to AP or OBE am I??

I have had two OBEish experiences in my time. One in real life while I was on DXM ( messed up shit )
and the other was in a dream when my view switched to a DC for a few seconds then back to me.

It is something extremely difficult to describe, you kind of have to experience it for yourself.

I used to have OBEs almost every night, unintentionally. Usually, the sensation was that I was floating upward a bit, and then forward. I could give up control and my floating body would randomly go upward or straight ahead or to the side, or I could sort of decide where to go. I never got a twisting feeling, but I think I did get a rolling one, and I once 'floated' off the bed and purposely did a summersault in the air. (I could decide to do something, but it would happen slowly, as though I was trying to move through water.) So I can imagine a variety sensations are possible.

Yes I normally feel this transition to feeling like the energy in my body, it feels very similar to salvia trips I've had. Sometimes it is very intense. Once I feel the transition I can normally get out. I normally do it on accident when I wake up and go back to bed. but don't really do much most the time except float or walk around my room before I wake up. I've also felt vibrations once. And a couple times I have experienced uncontrolable spinning or rolling which is always to the left.

Nice, I wish I was as lucky as you were/are when it comes to OBE's.

Ok, so how close to OBE do you think I am? How did you learn to OBE, and how long did it take to achieve?

pretty dam close I think. The rolling or vibrations normally take place right after I enter sleep paralysis, which I normally do on accident on wake back to beds. I would recommend waking up couple hours before you would normally get up to do this, because you slip into sleep paralysis much faster. Also another thing you can do is wake yourself up from a lucid dream, and then don't move at all and go back into sleep paralysis, then you can exit.

Sounds good than you for the info. I feel like some sort of logic in me is saying it cant be done but then I think how extremely vivid LD are real so why cant OBE. It must be close in some ways. Plus there are so many NDE's giving impossible details....details that they could only know if their consciousness was out of body. I was thinking that maybe dream conversion might be the easiest way to start for me and then when I experience it for myself anything is fair game.

      One question...

I feel the exit signs but get no visuals! what can I do to get out?
