      Lightbulb Dreaming with Animals?

I'm not too big on Shared Dreaming. The only reason I don't believe in it is because I have not experienced it and there isn't any scientifically-based evidence to point towards it.

However, the point of this thread isn't to debate SD's existence, but to wonder, hypothetically, if it is possible to Dream Share with animals.

Dogs, cats, giraffes, chimps, elephants, and horses are known to have REM sleep, along with others. So assuming that SD exists, wouldn't it be possible to dream with them?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

I mean, I wouldn't think so. I'm sure animal's brains have different priorities than ours I mean, why would you want to share a dream with an animal? Why would an animal want to share a dream with humans?

Because it would be fucking awesome. If I could go through a dreamscape running with my dog I'd probably be the happiest man alive.

If you believe in shared dreaming, then I don't see any reason why you couldn't do it with an animal. The only thing is, how would you really know if you're in the animal's dream? If you have a preconception that your dog is dreaming of chasing rabbits, you might form that up in your head and then think you're in his dream. How could you verify that it actually worked?

Yes, its totally possible. People often share dreams and don't even realize it.
Our truest life is when we are in dreams awake

But of course! (That is, if you believe in SDing) I bet non-humans are waaaaaaaaaaay more fun than humans anyway, I would totally like to be in the dream of a lion, and introduce a few hunters so that the lions can evade the bullets lucid-style before devouring the hunters.

Regarding the shared dream thing... I once had a pretty wild dream but I kept it to myself. It was years ago now so I don't remember what exactly it was about now, but my son who is now 9 was 4 or 5 years old. He said something like, "Mom wasn't that cool when..." And it was something from my dream! I said that was in MY DREAM! He goes, I know it was in my dream too. He said he was there too. What? My first and only experience with a shared dream. I did have a shared OBE once with my cat. She must've been OOB too because she was hanging upside down from my bedroom ceiling! LOL.

yes its possible to dream this kinds of animals as to my scenario I always dream of snakes which I consider a nightmare. And even if I tried to read and watch good movies that made me laugh that night. That snake animal tries to insert in some of my dreams.

Yes, I beleive it's possible. However, it will be much harder to realize you're sharing a dream with an animal, than with human.
