Third eye, Merkaba, Higher self

Hi guys,
firstly to apologize if i pollute the space with yet another thread on these topics. Its just that lately i got interested in the merkaba and that led me to third eye and to the higher self so i wanted to put them in one thread as they are connected.

I have read elsewhere about the merkaba and the books of Drunvalo Melchizedek.so i found two of them and read that we should awaken our third eyes.good, as i was already trying to get LD through concentration on the pineal gland, technique i found about here on the forum. also read that the merkaba meditation should connect one with one's higher self. i was reading here that one can do that and through LD.

Now then, i dunno if got any LD from my pineal glad experiments but i get other effects and feelings. I got some nice trips in the middle of the night after waking up from a dream. I also get this buzzing feeling in between my eyes which sometimes expands to the top of my head.
From the Merkaba meditation i tired to imagine the tetrahedrons and to rotate them which led to the feeling of power center in the base of my spine and this yellowish 'mist' made out of the spinning tetrahedrons. There also the feeling of connection between the center and the pineal, somehow. I did not do the whole meditation as i was a bit on wine. Anyway it was powerful experience even so short. I still dunno about the higher self though. Maybe i will reach it if i make the whole merkaba meditation.

From all this i have maybe one question. Is the higher self from merkaba and LD the same thing?

Btw, i have already met another me in my dreams, but i dont know if this is my higher self. Then i knew nothing about these matters :(

If it is a different manifestation of yourself, then it isn't really 'yourself' at all. You are a culmination of your experiences and ideas and chemistry and essence. An 'ideal' you, even a future you, is as different from you as any random Joe. Don't focus on becoming your higher self and get caught up in a frenzy to find some unkown essence that is a perfected you so you have something to emulate. Just continually self improve, borrowing positive traits fom anyone you find.

You're gonna confuse a whole lot of people here. The Higher Self is NOT a separate manifestation of you, it is You. The Higher Self is not some idealized version of you, or some future you. The Higher Self is who you truly are, and exists right NOW.

Its not about perfection, at least not in the sense you are talking about perfection. Its NOT about emulating something. Youre making this a religious on a pedestal concept. The Higher Self is a spiritual concept, its about YOU. And who you truly are is perfect, regardless of any so called imperfections.

We live in a culture that makes us pick up all of these limitations to our being. Were so a part of our culture its hard to see how we've limited and denied who we truly are. Its this denial of who we truly are that creates this sense of separation or duality. Just like we can confuse a dream for waking life, because we don't recognize our own mind laid out as a landscape, or the dream characters in front of us who are really self reflections. We don't recognize ourself because we don't know our true self. Thats why its easy to see the Higher Self as being separate from you.

Its perfectly okay to ask the Higher Self to manifest before you in a dream or in a meditation. But you have to remember that what you are looking at is only an illusion. Maybe you'll learn something valuable from the illusion, or maybe you won't. Whats more important is, once you establish that you want to connect to your Higher Self, or true self, you need to be open and receptive. The Higher Self is something for you to be, rather than something for you to look at. What do you feel? Maybe you feel like dancing. Or maybe you feel something that was bothering you, doesn't bother you anymore. Maybe you'll suddenly get inspiration for a project youre working on. Maybe you'll ask a question about yourself that you've never even thought of asking. Have fun!

But the self isn't this concrete thing. I do believe in a soul, an essence that an individual has unique to them. But this isn't necesarily what makes up a person a 'person.' A person is less of a definite entity and more a matter of definition. An individual is made up of the results of combined, seemingly isolated events. That is, all 'you' are is the sum total of your body, everything that makes up your body, all your experiences, each affect that all of your interactions with the universe have ever had on you, your thoughts, ideas, and any spiritual energy that may exist that has passed through you in some way.

So there is no 'higher self.' There is just the self. And then there is everything else. And the difference between the two is mostly just semantics. But placing any value on who you are outside of your experiences disconnects yourself from who you truly are. Sure, you can try and manifest a higher self in a dream and that can be a personal goal of who you want to be some day. It is no more or less part of you then every other aspect of every other dream you have ever had, though. Like in a dream. you may have a dream avatar. The fals body you percieve the dream through. But it is not 'you' any more than a dream character you meet. Or the dream floor you walk on! It is all part of your experience. So I cannot meet another me. To do so would totally contradict any value I place in the word me!

Really, reading your post next to mine, it doesn't sound, (to me at least,) that we really disagree here.

can you provide the link of that mediation......?

I only know a little on the subject but from what I gathered it was something conjured up by Drunvalo Melchizedek? and the merkabah itself is supposed to be 55 feet big?

I meditate often and everynow and then for no apparent reason I get this weird spinning sensation. Like my body is spinning clockwise but I feel like I'm spinning anti-clockwise at the same time. Its a really pleasant sensation and I love it when it happens! I can sort of make it spin faster and more intense but I don't quite know how to start it off. I assumed this might be my merkabah spinning around me but if Druvalo says its 55 feet big then most likely not. Maybe its just my astral body or aura? I dunno.

Something else that is curious... I once had a lucid dream where I decided to meditate. I closed my eyes and pictured myself at the very centre of the earth. Straight away I felt that same sort of sensation, but this was more from the earths perspective. It was a gyroscopic feeling, concentric rings/spheres of energy spinning around me in different directions, I could not see it only feel it. Very difficult to describe but I imagine this is what Mother Earth must feel on a daily basis. Considering all the different layers of the earth spin, its spinning in space with centrifugal/centripedal force, gravity and a magnetic field.

Hi, ive tried it couple of times but both times i was tipsy. not good idea. i am able to see the tetrahedrons even with my eyes open and to spin them. quite powerful thing. difficult to stop though. have to do it when sober. these days its on my plan.

On the topic of the higher self. Is it possible that the connection to the higher self is actually the active and functional connection between the left and right brain? I ask cos i was watching a video of R.A. Wilson where he said that for long time he was thinking he was channeling aliens when he understood that actually his right brain was speaking to the left. In a way makes some sense. Cos generally we make use of the left part of the brain and we are split. So when we connect both sides of the brain we become one, our true self, our true potential.

Hey, that makes quite a lot of sense really. It reminded me of a TED talk i watched some time ago of Jill Bolte , a brain scientists who had a stroke. I think it was the left part of her brain that shut down. And she describes later on how this made her experience Nirvana.

Fun fact: the left and right hemispheres of the brain are more disjointed in men. The synapses that connect the two are more developed in women.

Yep. Maybe thats why they are so complicated ;) Now i must say i do not want to insult any woman out there. I also think they have advantage. Anyway, many places say that females have advantage in the area of spiritual growth.

But I think that is only if they wish it. And i saw one problem for them. Most of them lack the control to handle all the stuff happening inside of them.
We men on the other hand have some control but lack some in the connection to feelings.
In both cases,men and women, thats general cos there are always exceptions.

another minor thing which i dunno how to fit into the picture: even though women should be more on the feeling side, there are the calculating side of our society and more to the ground people. its all biologically based of course but still. on the other hand men should be more to the ground and be primal and yet men are the abstract and more into feelings. thats all my opinion and observations.

CONCLUSION:
So that is the whole thingy. We can help each other and grow. or as it is said elsewhere: to balance our female and male parts.

I have a question though. If the higher self is who we truly are and we meet that thing, meaning we find out what we truly are and become it, then what happens with the dreams? I mean, are we going to dream again DCs who are parts of us be we dont recognize it? Or we are going to dream other things or not dream at all? Or just instead of traveling to dreamland we will travel to other places/worlds/dimensions with other sentient beings?
Another interesting thought is if DCs are us then we meet with our Higher Self, in its all different aspects, all the time only we dont recognize that fact.

I actually had something somewhat similar happen. A year or so ago in a dream, I was driving in a car and stopped in an empty parking lot. I lost focus of the dream but it felt like I was falling into a deep trance.

During that time period in waking life, I also started doing a lot of practicing for astral projection. It was really similar to other projection experiences I've read about, but I was only beginning and was barely able to get a mild trance going (much less physical relaxation or being able to still my mind) from being awake. In the dream it was nearly all automatic, except for when I tried reaching out from my chest to trigger a projection.

It scared the hell out of me! I only had a couple of WILDs happen before, but they were nothing like this. I was feeling an incredibly strong pull from my chest, almost like my consciousness was being pushed out of it.

Now I never had this happen before, so I naturally tried to resist it because I was too freaked out. Now looking back I realized I missed out on a great chance to project out of my body.
