Hi I'm new here and this is my new post thread, i learned about Lucid dreaming when vsauce mentioned it last year. Ever since i have been wanting to have a lucid dream for a long time and only had one so far, a very short one. I think this is the best place to share my experience cause this site seems very friendly. Now I had what i could best describe is a Night Terror a couple of days ago. I go to bed at a regular time around 9:45 to 10:00. I go to bed like every other day with lucid dreaming on my mind right before i go to sleep. Now then i think i wake up late at night, I open my eyes to a very dark room. Then I have a have an immediate terror deep in my core. Without any control of my body, i throw off my covers like a mad man then run for my life, open my door and run down my stairs. I am soo terrified that for me to type this is making me shake. Thankfully my father woke of from the sheer noise i made running out of my room. He asked me what i was doing, but i had no clue what i was doing, i was so bewildered that i was stumbling over my words. He told me to calm down and get a drink of water. So i did and shaking and sweating like crazy. Then I started to cry like a little girl in front of my dad. My dad thought nothing of it and sent me back to bed. By the way i am 17 years old and to cry like a little girl is embarrassing. I went back to bed and to my surprise i t was only 11:00 pm and i fell asleep @ 10:00 pm. I thought it was strange that i had only been asleep of only an hour. When i woke up in the morning i had doubted myself that it had happened at all. So i went downstairs and found my glass of water to calm myself down last night. This is the second time i have ever had a Night Terror, the last was when i was young and actually remember the nightmare to this day. So my question is why did i have a Night Terror when i am 17 years old, i thought it was only supposed to happen when your young. Another is me wanting to become lucid and thinking about becoming lucid every day caused me to have a Night Terror so abruptly.
