      Precognitive dreams?

Sometimes I have a strange dream and maybe on the same day, or a few days later, they will happen almost exactly the way I saw in my dreams.

For example, two nights ago I had a dream where we went to a Thai restaurant for lunch and had a Thai seafood curry. Guess where we went for lunch today? Yep, you got it.. a Thai restaurant. Thats just one of many of these dreams I have. This one is the most up to date.

It's probably just coincidence though because it is scientifically impossible to determine the future in any way. And also the future is not pre-determined so it is constantly changing.
I dunno.. leave a few comments below, let me know what you guys think about precognitive dreams.

It happens to me too, I believe it

It would be a highly unlikely set of coincidences wouldn't you think?

Still doubt it though. But if these dreams do exist then I'm waiting for the dream where I see winning lottery numbers.

I can assure you that they do. It's happened to me way too many times (with very high accuracy) for me to believe it was coincidence! I had a couple month long streak a few years ago where I'd see something like this every day, and was never wrong

I have precognitive dreams, so on a personal level there is no room for doubt in my personal perspective.
That being said, Hugh Everetts multiworld theory, quantum mechanics and some areas in physics, in general, support that while our dreams might not 'come true' always in this level of our reality, it is very probable somewhere you are..it does come true.

Almost all more spiritual teachings say you can not use gifts for personal gain, although I have seen a friend get 'nudges' to tell others they should go buy lotto tickets on certain days. (I am waiting for him to tell ME to do so LOL)

Hi I have half a dozens symbolic precognitive dreams a year and I also experience déjà-rêvé almost constantly even about the symbolic precognitive dreams.

Like you I know that precognitive dream are real and not a created memory blablabla (you’ve probably heard that one lol).

Were I have to disagree with you is that the past the present and the future is predetermine and unchangeable. I know that your personal experiences contradict that and mine use to as well but once you’ve understand and accepted that fact the future and the nature of time will reveal it’s self to you.

P.S. This is my opinion and in no way I disbelieve your perception of your precognitive dreams. Sharing our point of view is a healthy way of understanding this phenomena.

i struggle with this, but have never been courageous enough to admit it to myself, if thats what you do. I have actually had glimpses of me, in another slightly different life(instead of moving in with my parents at five, i stayed with my grandparents)

Everyone wants too see the lottery numbers in a precog dream; I would like too see them for myself. Unfortunately, doesn't seem to work that way. I think all people have the ability to see somewhat into the future, using anticipation, speculation and intuition; whether in a dream or wide awake.

I believe that all people have different levels of ability, i.e. musicians, artists, business people etc. Precog dreams are no different. A majority will experience precog on a very low level, (dejavu), while some will experience it on a much higher level seeing certain numbers, places, names, landscape detail, etc.

I believe them based on my experiences with them. The chances that I would dream multiple dreams that are eerily accurate, as accurate as I have had, are extremely extremely low in a "coincidence" sense. And no, it's not scientifically impossible, especially under some views of String Theory. Not only is the present occurring now, the future may occasionally "collide" as a brane-to-brane collision (time, the fourth dimension) and allow us to see the future at random points. Even some scientists don't completely rule that out, which strikes me as interesting.

I believe in precognitive dreams, as I've had many. Sometimes I'll have several dreams of something happening within a few weeks of it occurring (usually something that rarely happens/has never happened to me).

It could be coincidence, though with the amount of times this has happened to me I doubt it.

ThePieMan - Came back because there is an article on the internet about a Dr. Ted Byrne at Cornell University in New York. Dr. Byrne finished a study with a group of people on precognition dreams. He is now arguing to have the findings published in a science journal because the evidence from the study is showing a certain percentage of the participants correctly predicting events through dreams. He feels the findings warrant more research into this area. Other scientists are resisting publication because they feel it would make a mockery of the science community. Frankly, there fighting Dr. Byrne because they refuse to believe it's even possible.

AT ONE TIME, SCIENTISTS WERE CONVINCED THE WORLD WAS FLAT TOO!

I know it's real because I've done it myself on several occasions. There are only a few people around me I trust enough to discuss these dreams with and when the event does happen, they have a difficult time taking it in, but they don't doubt me for a second.

Anyway, I just thought you would be interested in hearing about that article. Take care and good luck to you.

Thank you for this information puzzledsoul. It’s true that scientist deny precognition because they don’t want to accept that time could be more that unidimentional. They do not want to accept that their precious theory about time, that has been unchanged since the 1930’s, could be updated. Nevertheless science is supposed to update itself when new evidence comes to light. When the time will be right they won’t have choice to accept reality. But for now us that know have to be patient and persistent.

If anyone wants to know more on how precognition works, feel free to contact me I will answer any question you took the time to ask.

Sorry guys, I got the name wrong. It's Dr. Daryl Berns not Ted Byrnes. I've read many articles and mixed the name up. Dreamintheshell, your right about patience. There is a lot of ridicule and speculation surrounding the topic of precognition. People that have genuine experiences with this have a tendency to remain quiet and not come forward with their stories because they know what kind of backlash could hit them and their families. Exactly the reason why I share my experiences with a few trusted people and that's it.

Who knows, maybe 50 years or so down the road, people with precognitive ability will become common place.

I've had a few things come to pass that I dreamed of before hand. Its never the next day, but typically months down the road, sometimes years. Once being I dreamed about my x in a jeep like mine but white. The next time I see him, a year later. He is driving a white jeep exactly the same year and type as mine.

I had my first one of these just this past weekend. I was at ripleys believe it or not and looking at old torture devices when it hit me like de-ja-vu...sp? I looked up at my g.f and said "this was a dream I had" and told her there would be a t.v with a guy making faces around the next corner... And holly shit... It was there. The best part about this is that I went home and found it in my journal and I actually became lucid in the dream in the same place the de-ju-vu hit me . This was deffinatley real.
