Dreaming someone else

he other morning I overslept, and during this sleep I dreamt a dream I can only slightly remember, but at the end it had facebook, and I saw a picture of a girl who I know. I then realized this was a dream and woke up. I decided to go back to sleep and had the same dream, but extended. In the extended part of the dream I saw updates on facebook, like the girl liked a status I made the night before, and then after seeing her picture I went lucid again for second or two and woke up.

Later that day I decided to go on facebook, and saw the thing from the dreams, but when I checked the time that they had occurred, it was before the dream, but after I went to bed (I had trouble sleeping).

This leads me to ask the question: what happened? It could not have been a memory because I never saw any of that before sleeping.

I have a few theories on this, such as retrocognition, was I seeing the past in that dream, but if so, who or what's past was it? Another theory is precognition of my future of seeing what had happened in the dream.

I also have a second question, which is: Why did I go lucid the moment I saw the girl?
And one final question: What caused this to happen.

Help and advice would be much apreciated.

Maybe you were sharing a dream with the girl and were seeing her memory of posting the status?

Well then the most likely cause is that you saw into the future of you looking at the post the next day. Why this happened, I don't know, nor does their nessesarily have to be a specific reason. Ive had precognitive dreams before, once I had a dream that I was in the middle of a hurricane, and then the next morning I found out that it was the fifth anniversary of hurricane Katrina. I doubt there was any reason why I saw into the future for that. Just happened. If you had some sort of connection with her I think maybe some sort of shared dream but since you don't you most likely just saw you in the future seeing the post. That is my opinion but I could be wrong, it's really impossible to tell.

Very cool, it seems like some kind of shared memory. I didn't know it was possible to have that kind of mental connection with another person using your own dreams.

Maybe you could somehow ask her if she had a similair dream, i know it would be kinda wierd but if you could bring it up in a non wierd way you could maybe figure out why that happened, unless of course it was just a random happenstance.

Whenever I think about it, it feels more like some kind of shared dream featuring a memory.

Looking back at some of my other dreams from the last 9 months, a large amount of them have had something to do with her; And before I even met her I would have dreams of someone who I can describe as similar, but I'm never able to remember the face.

Thats interesting...would it be wierd if you asked her if shes had dreams about you?

You know the best person to answer this Conundrum is yourself. Whether it be symbolic or literal - only you can sieve through your emotional responses to this event to get the real answer.
