      military/govt research

Has anyone heard of any substantial LD or psi-related research done by govt. or military that is recent (say since the early 70s or so)? I've been reading a little on remote viewing and found it interesting, especially in its relation to similar phenomena in lucid dreams.

I have never seen any hard evidence that they are working on anything like this, however it would not suprise me at all if there were a number of projects going on.

      prolly...
They could be looking for recruits...

Since remote viewing seems to have been pretty advanced (based on the info that has since been declassified) makes you wonder how advanced other such psi studies have become since then and how much taxpayers' money they may be spending on such projects...

I dont think the so called they have the intelligence to go about studying it. Not that I dont underestimate them. But realy look at the state of things.

I think I'd be pretty angry to hear that people are paying taxes to fund military uses of things that arent even proven to exist, like remote viewing.

I work in the US Military as a Research scientist. Whatever you hear aobut that is classified info and the public has no knowledge of what we do. They will not know unless our generals confirm we can release that info.

I am in the military and my job requires a clearance. I haven't heard of anything at my level, but you never know. The Truth is Out There.

I wouldn't think that the military would research this type of stuff. Maybe back in the 60's and 70's like when they researched LSD and some other drugs. It seems to me that they have shifted more towards technology related monitoring equipment. Besides, when they did research with LSD they didn't really go about it very well and thus they had negative results. I guess its possible but not very likely.

The government wants in on the best new scientific discoveries. It is so obvious that they are hiding something all the time.

I wouldn't put it passed the govt. But I would think it would be conducted and monitored on a higher level than by the US govt. It's very interesting and exciting to know that it is possibly being conducted/ and researched over.

I have read some things on this evangel. I have also tried to look some things up on line. All the results are inconvlusive......BIG suprise.
I believe there is a book out there called distant viewing.
There are trianing coarses to Universities that are studing this.

I'd be willing to guess it happens a lot more than we know...

      http://www.militaryremoteviewers.com/cia_r...viewing_sri.htm

Check out the movie (Suspect 0) Obviously a good deal of research on the topic has been done. With the internet, you can't be too sure of credibility (unless you dig deeper, of course) But I would say there has to be at least a bit of truth for there to be so much info and University researchabout it. Usually the stuff we hear about is only the stuff that has been pre-apporved by govt "PR" people as a front for the public...

High "Technology" is usually even more advanced if it can somehow integrate with our biological functions. A lot of times people think of technology as something seperate from or un-integratable with biology. If we can mimic or integrate human biological or psychological/physiological functions or intelligence with tech, or psi-related intelligence, I'm sure the military is all over it...

The US did work on projects involving remote viewing and telepathy during the Cold War. However, the project was later abandon after a number of years. The success rate of the "psychics" was no higher that anyone could manage by chance. (ie. it didn't work at all, ever.)

yeah, the project were officially abandoned, Iv read and seen a few television shows about the projects that they had, also, there was one incident where a remote viewer had drawn some pictures of some military base, and later they rescued some guy from it and he was mad that since they had spies in the base that they hadnt gotten him out earlier, when really the guy had remote viewed it.

but this story sounds alot like BS to me, sounds like the government trying to justify the millions they spent on the projects

Hey Howetzer, I just rented Suspect Zero today and am going to watch it tonight. Glad to here it's good.
As far as the government goes who knows what they're up to. They could have teleportation and time travel down (or almost figured out) for all we know but they wouldn't want us or "the enemy"knowing that. But at the same time the government/military can be pretty stupid so who knows.

All the data I have read concerning remote viewing was more on code breaking and the like, rather than ...well I won't say anything so not to ruin the movie.
But I don't feel that many of us realize the lenght that governments will go to get the upper hand on other countries. The only differance is that the super powers make it incognito, while third world countries flat out spare no expense. Or life for that matter.
What scares me is that they (the government) is messing around with mother nature to do there dirty work. They did a lttle with vietanam, but nothing to the extend of actually changing weather patterns. It seems to me that or commerce is doing a fine job on screwing that up.

The way I see it, the government is definitely conducting all kinds of top secret experiments and of course we don't know about it. Yea, it would be cool to know what they are working on but there is a reason that we don't know about it. That reason is that if we knew about it then so would the rest of the world and that would be a bad thing. But yea, I boubt they are doing research on questionable things such as remote viewing and the like since there have been nothing but negative results in the past experiments. I guess the people in the experiments just had "stage fright".
