      dno bout obe

hey, i am interested in the outer body expierience thing, but im feelin kinda sketchy about it, i mean i have had a few before, but i was hopped up on drugs, it wasn't as "spiritual" and i just dno, im feelin pretty skeptical about it but it sounds interesting and i think i might try it some time in the distant future, any pointers on it?

Well if you're already lucid dreaming then you're pretty much already doing it. The only difference is when you become lucid you are already in the dream while when you OBE you don't lose consiousness from waking to sleeping and then project out of the body (astral projection). Plus when you project from the body it's a little different than if you become conscious already in a full dreamscene. Lots of times everything will be really fuzzy or hard to see. I beleive there's different levels of consciousness or levels of reality to go through before you get out of this fuzzynes. It may be because when you project consciously from the body you're still close to the physical so it's more disorientating.
I reccomend working on the W.I.L.D. technique (If you've never heard of or don't know what this is then research it and you'll find out how to do it) which helps you learn to go from waking into your dreams without losing consciousness. After getting better at this then you'll be more ready to OBE/Astral project. Meditation helps a lot too.
(Let me add that I'm not saying OBE's are real and that astral projection or leaving the body is real, it could all be a hallucination but for people who project conscioulsy versus just becoming lucid in a dream it sure feels like you leave your body)

If you see him/her in your room, would you then believe it was real. ??. I'm sure it is. Ever Seen those little specks of White.....Blueish Light etc. Just out of the Corner Of Your Eye ???.

Hi Gman,Existance had some great advice there, also obe's happen more often than people think, and if your doing lucid dream work, you may just find yourself out side your body..if you are interested, I would read more about it, perhaps get a few books on the subject..by Robert Monroe or William Buhlman..to start, and continue to do dream work, it is bound to happen if that is your goal..
for some obe's and lucid dreams are the same, however there is a definate clarity differance between them that makes a lucid dream appear vaque, and the obe quit alive and more vivid than waking life...
