      how to start with OOBE/AP?

I want to start learning OOBE/AP in a progressive way.
Does anyone know a good book?

      Kind Regards,

      Astral Dynamics, by Robert Bruce.

By FAR the best book out there for learning AP. It's a bit wordy, and I'm a little iffy on some of his theories (i.e. astral wind and all that). But, unlike most authors, when I read it I can tell he has actually had OBEs and has had legit experiences. Most authors seem to confuse AP with simple visualization. Not Bruce. He also stresses the importance of energywork, which IMO is extremely important for AP. His methods for AP are very helpful.

I second this and have read some of his books...he is a real mystic and teaches real techniques that are logical and easy to understand. He has a new book Mastering Astral Projection in 90 days it is his new program. I have this book as well but have not read it yet as I am still reading other things right now.

      Thanks for the books
      I learned a lot.

      I've got a quick question.
Yesterday I managed to separate my hand and a bit of my arm.
I felt vibrations when I tried the rest of my body but I didn't manage to fully separate.
      Got any tips?

      Kind Regards,
      Davinci

Should one be well practiced in Lucid Dreaming before attempting this? I cannot get consistent results in lding yet, but I wouldn't mind trying this stuff too.

I would recommend two books about OBEs and APs. One is by Jane Roberts called "Seth, Dreams, and Projections of Consciousness". Also, for an OBE book totally simplified yet covering all the basics is "Out-of-body Adventures" by Rick Stack.

I wouldn't say I'm an advanced lucid dreamer in any way (probably more of an intermediate student of the art form) yet I've had OBEs. Some metaphysical schools of thought believe that OBEs and LDs are basically the same thingl That LDs are OBEs in nonphysical reality (which is where our dream experiences lie). You can have one of two OBEs: those that are in physical reality and those in an inner multidimensional nonphysical reality. I've been attempting to jump from a lucid dream to an OBE lately. That's where you "wake up" in a dream experience and rather than engage in the "dream" you then choose to go to physical reality. I'm doing this to see if this idea that LDs and OBEs are the same thing.

From a more scientific viewpoint, it is believed that OBEs are nothing more than Wake Induced Lucid Dreams. From my experience, I definitely notice a difference between my LDs and OBEs, yet they are also very similar. It can be confusing when you find yourself in an OBE like environment and your trying to sort out if you're physically awake, out of body, or having a lucid dream. I tend to experiment with my environment to find out...

I'm devising an experiment with a scientist friend of mind to see if the next time I'm in an OBE or LD I can transport to his home and see what a mystery item is in a target area. This will answer for me whether or not OBEs and LDs have a link and whether or not it is truly a metaphysical or merely brain induced experience.

In my experience, I just do what I'm most interested in at the time. I think that bundling up LDs and OBEs as the same experience helps me not feel like I'm trying to take on more than one task.
