Thread: Out of body experience?

First of all, I do believe in spirituality but...
This topic has been debated lately here, but without proof, I think OBE's are assumptions. I mean our minds are able to create the sensation of physical pain in dreams with no real outside force, so I think it would be possible to create the sensation of moving up and out of the place in which you are sleeping when it is not actually taking place.
There are people who strongly believe in them. To answer your questions, by definition (most of the time) an OBE is the event in which your soul/spirit is able to exit your body, and you would be invisible to the physical eye. Yet, of all the OBE claims I have read, I never seen one backed by a simple but effective reality check.

here is something I wrote about OBE's yesterday: A misunderstanding people have is that they think that the lowest level of the Astral Place that roughly corresponds to the Physical World IS the Physical World, but, no, ... at best it only roughly corresponds to the Physical World. I once OBE'd in a small Korean town in the middle of the night. Nothing was going on, and so I went to the center of the town's activity, the square adjacent to the Train Station. There were strange little spirits wondering about. Oddly, there was a Statue in the middle of the square where in actuality there is none, as though there had been one there in the past, or will be one there in the future.

To achieve anything very interesting with Astral Projection (which is how Old Men refer to OBE's) it is almost necessary to go to the Higher Planes, but, then, one finds one's self in the same places to which our Dreams can take us, if we chose to go to the Higher Planes, and can get past the guard mechanisms (which is why I admire Aquanina to such a high degree, because she seems to have a Membership Pass to the highest levels)



So, yes, you could spy on people to a certain extent, and you would be invisible. But the Lower Astral where it overlaps the Physical is very easy to modify for privacy. many Spiritual People simply specify that their homes be 'protected' from spiritual invasion and you would find yourself bouncing off of these walls . Besides, one really should maintain the same ethics whether one is in Body or out of Body. You don't hide in the bushes and spy on people now, do you?

so for example, when i wanna know someone's secret, but they don't tell me, they only tell to their trusted friends, i can go out of my body and spy on them and easdrop on their conversation right?

One time, in a fake one (at least I think it was fake, & I call them S**-***), I flew off & spied on a moron putting his dead wife in the dumpster....the funny thing was that I was right next to him, & he totally ignored me (this happened at the exact same time, but still was a dream).
Well, in my S**-***, I prefer to go & read real time open books. Jrels suggested that to me, & now, I can't stop reading them b/c it is so much fun!

so that's a yes? Hmm...im going to start to work on this OBE thing.

I wouldn't really know. I do know a thing or 2 about my little voyages in S**-***, though.. You cannot touch anything. I should know, b/c when I tried to hug my mom, I was heartbroken. It is possible to hug someone that is in the same situation as you, though...

Not really, as far as I can understand (except that I don't understand real time all that well, either, & often mistake real time for dreaming!). I am not really a ghost in them, b/c I have legs & a robe !!

It can be odd what first brings people into Spirituality. The first thing the Oracle told me was "Only those at the Bottom cannot go to the top". So we may suppose that this first humble and limited step toward dissassociating himself with his physical body, even with the intentions to spy on people, could well count as his first slimey crawl off of the bottom, onto what must be the lowest step but yet at least off of what may be termed the "bottom". For all we know, fifty years from now he may be an exalted Safron Robed Guru (just hoping that nobody will come forward remembering his very first quotes here).
