I ended up in the wrong person's dream?

I'm not sure where to start. I have been lucid dreaming my entire life so the last weeks I have been trying my luck at dream walking. I wanted to " walk into" my boyfriends dream but I ended up in a dream where I was on a boat full of people going over a really dark lake and there was a girl there and she asked me why I was on the boat and I told her that I was on the boat because I didn't belong whereI was and the boat was going to take me home. After a few minuts somthing in the water start knocking over the boats around us and the people in the would get dragged under the water. When our boat got knocked over I swam back up into it even though it was half flooded. Then I could see the creature looking for us because I could see it's head under the boat. I held onto the girl and I told her not to move. When it left I got out of the boat and dragged it up onto an island. There where creatures on it and they started running at us. The girl looked really scared so I turned to her and said " You know you can stop them like this , right" and then everything froze. Then I expained to her that she was dreaming and explained what lucid dreaming was and that she could wake up when ever she wanted and that when she did I wanted her to find me and tell me she remembered everything. Then I walked her up to a rode and told her I would take her to a city where it was safe then when we where almost there I woke up . I feel like I know her from some where and I know it sounds weird but it feels like it wasn't an accident for me to be in her dream I think she might have needed my help :? . Did I end up in the wrong dream and does anyone have any tips for dream walking?
