i can see into my future! OMG!

its nothing intence or something you'd see in a movie.. but i just get EPIC deja vu at times, only when it happens i remember this moment from a dream.

      heres an example:

so, about a year ago, i had a dream where i was in this empty bar, but it was all lit up and not dark, it had wood trim, deer on walls, a good old maratimes bar scene. and i was playing pool with these 2 girls that i have never met before. i remember doing something funny and seeing her laugh. she was very beautiful and so was her sister, who wouldnt stop huggng me for some reason.. i woke up, and thought nothing of it. but that dream was lucid as hell.. and i dont get them often.

3 months later, my parents get married, and they are having their little party in this public center. there were many, MANY people that i didnt reckgonise, but there were these 2 girls that stood out. i could have sworn i saw them somewhere.. so, i asked them if they wanted to play some pool. they said ok, so we went down to the bar that was downstaris and it was the exact same bar i saw in my dream, but i didnt catch on to it until later. i made the same joke, did the same funny impersonation that went with the joke, and watched the beautiful girl laugh and smile in the exact same place that i remember in my dream..

of coarce, you can imagine how tripped out you'd be if something that intence happened to you. so for about a minute i just stood in one place looking all around to confirm if this was in my dream.. lol and they looked at me like i was some crazy. i didnt tell them though why i tripped out like that, could you imagine? that would be a great new pickup line. "so, yeah.. uh... i know we met today but uh.... about 3 months ago i had a dream about you! isnt that funny!? ah hahaha hahhhaha" *nervious twitching*

same thing happened just now when i was eating a bag of chips. we just recently moved to a new appartment and a couple months ago i dreamt i was eating a bag of chips in the kitchen of a room i didnt reckgonise.. the room was the apartment im in now.. and 3 other seperate ocasions if had this epic deja vu dreams! its freaky!

I've had a dream where I was at some party, and I was given a list of what I wanted to eat.

Next day, there's this Father's Day party (which I was part of even though I'm not a father lol). And when I picked up the menu the women gave me, I thought, "Wait hold on a second, this happened in my dream!"

I also remember having a dream where I'm leaving my college Chemistry Lab Course, and as I was walking back to my apartment, a white truck passed by me on the sidewalk.

The next day, I leave my Chemistry Lab course in waking life, and a white truck almost passes me (on the sidewalk too because they were doing construction work). I was like "Wait what................the hell?"

Glad to see you had a dream like that, and it really is freaky to experience the same thing over again. It just a big eye opener, and it literally can make you shiver and twitch, I know it did for me.

Makes me speculate and marvel on how dreams, especially lucid ones, can stimulate anticipation for reality.

I had stuff like that a lot when I was younger. My recall wasn't that splendid, so I couldn't actually recall the dreams themselves, but I had quite a few deja vu's that lasted a few seconds, allowing me to predict what would be said/done next. They're epic I think I'm going to do some research on Deja Vu Inducement. Will share it with the forum if I figure out something.

I had a dream that I got the exact mark in my Statistics 1 test (in the dream it was the exact exam, many exams at the time and there was not particular stress on that subject) that I did 3 months later, crazy stuff.

Yea I frequently have such dreams. For example, a few weeks before the Japan Earthquakes in 2011 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_T%...ke_and_tsunami) I had several dreams about violent volcanic upheavals. It's just coincidence though as it is scientifically impossible to actually see into the future.

A few months ago I had a dream in which I bought peanut butter ice cream and made a sundae from it. That very next day my mom brought home peanut butter ice cream (same brand) and we made sundaes.

They're called precognitive dreams, and I've had a few but that's the first one that comes to mind. Some say Deja vu is just a random event with no reasoning, and others believe its the sudden remembrance of a dream. Whatever you believe, it's still an interesting phenomenon.

I have these at least once every week but the dreams that I remember them from are usually 1 year or more before the Deja vu.

Not necessarily we just don't have the technology to do it yet, if there was however a solid theory on how to do it it would probably not be done for ethical reasons, or if so kept secret to the worlds elite corporations.

I always scoffed when people said they had predicted the future with deja vu, since déjà vu is only when the two sides of your brain process something at slightly different speeds (so you swear you've experienced things before). That is, until I had my own future dream experience. I have no idea how something like that is even possible, but I wrote the dream in my dream journal and several months later experienced it in real life.

About a year ago, I went to bed with the power on... I was sleeping when the power went out. I didn't even know the power was out, because I was asleep, but suddenly I had what I now realize was a lucid dream (now that I've experienced a few). I'm so lucid, that I think I've just woke up... It wasn't vivid... it was REAL (or so it seemed).

When I woke up in the dream, I immediately noticed that the power was out, and that was all the time I had before the power suddenly turned back on. Then I woke up. I thought, "Oh, the power is out," the exact though I had in the dream, only this time with an emphasis on the is. The power turned on, and immediately I realize that I had just dreamed this. It was pretty weird, but I shrugged it off, as I constantly have "insights" in real life. This is just one of about three times something similar has happened in my life time.

But for instance, I have three younger siblings, and back when we were all in school, we would constantly tell each other our good grades in school. More times than I can keep track of, I would have one of them go up to me and say, "Guess what grade I got on my test?" and I would immediately just... I guess you'd call it, use a sixth sense that tells me the information, in this case, the grade on the test (I'm talking about getting the percentage grade right, not the letter). This would happen about two times a week, or what would be 1 out of about 4 tests shown to me in any given week.

Another common one I have, is I will know who's calling, or texting, before I will get the call or text... this happens probably once a day, or more.

And then there's knowing what someone is going to say, even if they come up to me spontaneously. This happens a few times a day.

There's other things as well... reading thoughts occasionally... hearing them once. I both leave my body and move something about once a month... but this is all a different story.

I think it runs in the family... my dad has guessed the toss of a coin 57 times in a row before. My younger sister says she hears thoughts sometimes...

Most people are probably going to say this is bullcrap, but people who are close to me know it's real.

Anyways, I've been WOT'ing..... what I wanted to say lucid dreaming wise is that is my first goal I'm trying to attempt. See the future... I want to see if I can use it as a tool to see further into the future. Go and ask, say my dream guide, what will happen at a specific place and time.

I've actually set up a little experiment with my dad. I told him to pick a number between 0 and 99, and don't tell me it. I told him to remember this, and remember it until I have my next lucid dream. My next lucid dream, I hope I get the right answer. We'll see.

I had a dream just like this like 3 or 2 years ago. It was about me meeting this girl and we were in love and we did all these things and like a year or 2 later a new girl came to the school and we went out for about 2 years.

Yeah, this is all very weird :S
But I can verify the idea, I sometimes have these dreams too. Most of them I used to dismiss as not possible, but there actually is one the Deja Vu of which I could specifically recall from a dream I had a few nights before. Just shows, probably there's more to a human's mental abilities than society accepts.

So the question is, did you people see the future in your dreams, or did you create the future in your dreams? I tend to think it was creating the future rather than predicting it.

Why would something like that be possible? I believe dreams are an expression of duality. They represent the waveform counterpart to physical reality. Clearly the waking world influences dreams, but threads like this would seem to suggest that dreams also influence reality, creating a chicken and the egg scenario. Reality influences dreams, and dreams influence reality.

Nice thread, lol! I've had such dreams before important events or issues in my life (and exams ).

Amazing, I got home with my neighbours' boy today. When we got off the car, he said, 'Look, that boy will kick a stone and then he'll take his cell phone out.' The same things happened in a few seconds. When I asked how had he come to know that, he told that he had seen this in his dreams last night. And added that we would meet another neighbour with his dog. Lol, the neighbour appeared at the door with his pet!
I only wonder what the purpose was of this dream. The child seemed quite indifferent to these occurrences.

Very cool. I know that feeling.

Last year, I had a night layover in a foreign country and decided to go out. . . Although what ensued was probably more dumb than fun, I realized the following morning how, a few months ago, I had dreamt of the exact club courtyard I had just come from.

This is an interesting perspective. I enjoy the idea of dreams representing "the waveform counterpart to physical reality." However, at this point in time, I have to disagree with the idea that we're manufacturing the future within our dreams.

I personally believe "now" is quite expansive; things which haven't "come to be" yet are simply out of view for tiny us, but definitely already beyond the horizon.

I was in the car with my mother and we were turned around so she pulled over in the parking lot and began typing in the name of a market into the GPS. When the list of possible routes came up, I began having a serious deja vu.

Most of my deja vu's can last for up to a solid minute or two, but this was the most intense I have ever experienced so far.

It started out like a normal deja vu, but then it kept going. I literally saw, in my head, into the future and felt overwhelming certainty that this route that the GPS had planned would not take us to the correct destination.

It was the strangest feeling - not being in the "present" for a few seconds and instead peering into the future as if it all had already happened before.

Of course, my mom rolled my eyes when I told her what happened.

About 20 minutes later, we discovered that I had been right all along. The route was null.

      Btw,
      intence = incorrect
