      Meditation and Binaural Beats

I've tried binaural beats twice so far, including once last night, and I must say I surprised to see it actually work (though it was quite mild).

Anyway, I was wondering about a combination of meditation and binaural beats, has anyone tried it? I realise this combination is pretty similar to the normal binaural beats procedure, but the way I mean would be meditation as top priority with binaural beats almost in the background. Or in other words, binaural beats as a substitution to the ambient music I usually put on while meditating.

I'm pretty new to meditation as it goes, and I only tend to do it for 20-30 minutes at the moment, but I was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the matter (even if it's to say moSh, you're stupid and so is your idea).

It doesn't have a profoundly greater effect to me than meditating quietly. Yeah my conclusion is that there's not much difference, and whatever effect the binaural beats has gets left in the dust by the effect of meditating.

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.

Ok, so two responses at separate ends of the spectrum I may just have to give it a go then, see what happens.

I'm not as experienced in meditation as you Omnis, so right now I don't gain massive benefits (especially from only doing 20-30 minutes stints), so maybe I'll notice a larger difference in sensation than you? We shall see.

In case anyone's interested, I tried it the other day, and it didn't work much differently to trying binaural beats the normal way. And, as Omnis said, meditation on its own seems to bring nicer results.
