question about qi and chakras

from what i have seen it seems that qi/ch and chakras are pretty closely related, maybe even the same thing just two beliefs that started in different places.
it seems they are bothe the belief of an energy body and energy in everything and harnesing it.

in qi they believe in ying and yang energy. is this so with chakras aswel? is there certain chakras that are ying and some that are yang, or can you choose to take either from any chakra?

also in qi they store the ying energy in a certain place, and the yang in another. is there anywere that you store the energy with chakras? or 2, 1 for ying and 1 for yang?


people claim to be able to do some pretty crazy things with qi and chakras, like move things, put out a candle, change the color of a candle, and electrocute people.
i refuse to believe these things untill i have seen them with my own eyes, but i am open minded and would like to try do them myself, and if it works i will believe.

It is all the same stuff. Add in kundalini, ki, prana, and rei-ki. If you study each system it becomes very clear that there is only one process these arts are teaching. The differences are just due to cultures and details given by famous teachers inside a system, that become dogma. Energy is not stored in a specific place. It is always in motion, so it is kind of like saying 'where is the wind stored.' You can build up a large reserve, but it is an expansion of the entire energy body, the whole system becomes highly charged.

Chakras come from Kundalini, Raja, or Kria yoga, and rei-ki which is a highly simplified version of Kundalini. There is a concept like yin-yang. It is an up-down concept. It is basically like the polarity issue with magnets. In the energy body two poles exist and energy moves between them in both directions. The ascending energy coming from earth and reaching to heaven, or coming from heaven and reaching to earth. The lower 3 chakra relate to worldly thing and the next 3 to mental things. And so on. It is yes, basically a yin-yang system.

I have never witnessed anyone, even the masters I have studied with, to be able to defy physical laws in a repeatable manner. I for instance have supurb weather control, if I am not showing off. If I do something to convince another, for my own pride, it will almost always fail. The true use of these energies is self enlightment. As far as gaining yogic powers, the ones that can be doubted and disputed will always be more powerful and reliable. Animal hypnotism is pretty easy, but again, if your ego is involved you will probably fail. The best use of 'powers' is to have perfect timing, luck and, general fore sight. I almost never have to wait for traffic or look for a parking space.

here is a documentary that shows a qi healer that claims to have some of these powers. i understand they could be faking it, thats why i want to see it with my own eyes before i believe it.

I checked out the links. I do know that some people will try to fake things. In this case the one 'amazing' thing both of them show is heating or igniting paper. In the 19th or early 20th century, some one went around debunking certain yogic powers. He found out many 'tricks' had been handed down, that were just that, tricks. I believe in the energy and that it does grant powers, but I have never been able to ignite a candle wick, and doubt it can be done.
If the paper demonstration is a trick, here is how they are doing it. The paper would be impregnated with white phosphorous. Exposure to air would do nothing, but exposure to water would cause an intense chemical reaction. The guy who bursts the paper into flames barely wads it, which would let air in for combustion. The other guy who heats the paper has it rolled very tight. I hope they are not tricking people, but that is how they are doing it, if they are cheating.
The first link mentions that his dead master got angry about him demonstrating his powers. That fits. I mentioned that these powers often fail if your motive is showing off. Why? I do not know. I can use them in front of my wife almost flawlessly. I also have been able to give amazing demos to other family members and students. I find that motive makes a big difference.
Here is an example. I was giving a couple students a lecture on how they could use this power to influance the world around them. I used a pool table as an example. I do not play pool well, in fact I am as much a joke as the average non-pool player. I calmy and with out ego explained my methods and then broke the balls, making a shot. I then was able to call the next 5 shots in a row. I looked like a pro. One of the students gasped "He is going to clear the table!" At that point my ego became involved and I felt powerful, and prideful. I missed the next shot.
Now, it was one of my students turns. He went through the whole process I had explained. Just as he was about to take his shot a classmate of his walked by. The guy acted very strange saying he really wanted to take a shot. He was insistant. Everyone agreed except the student, who had just spent time getting ready for this. I was curious and told the student to let his classmate have 1 shot in his name, during his turn. The classmate was some kind of pool shark. He gracefully cleared every striped ball and sinks the 8 ball (8 shots back to back.) He smiles and hands the stick back saying simply "thanks" and swiftly walks out of the room.
My student was pissed off. He was visably angery and distraught. When I asked why, he said he had spent all that time and energy preparing, and now he would not even get to take 1 shot to test if it worked. I laughed. I told him, "you used your power and out of no where a pool master shows up and begs you to let him win the game for you. It was your shot and we all agreed he could shoot 1 turn in your name. You should be thrilled and amazed"
Why was he upset? He did not get to look powerful to the others watching. He may have magically caused the game to be won in his name, but what he really wanted was to look cool. The reason my attempt had worked at first was I was just calmly teaching, not showing off, until the last ball when I got a rush of self-satisfaction.

so the lighting the news papers on fire could easily have been faked, but it could also be easily prooved if they got people to make sure everything was completely clean and he didnt have anything else on him. maybe oneday someone will do that.
but what did you think of when he was electrocuting the camera man and other people?
it could be easily faked to because the only proof anything happened is that the people getting electrocuted said they felt it. so we are going on thier word alone. but that is not the point, do you think it is possible to do?

I have seen and experienced this kind of thing. My first master was amazing at this. My wife can cause my legs to jerk just like in the clip, and she is mostly untrained (but naturally energetic.) Here is the problem, I asked my first master (23 years ago) why people could resist this or not respond, yet me and his students felt it and responded so easily. He told me thaat part of the trick is that the recieving person must be mentally willing to accept what they feel. I found out that I could resist anything like this if I just used my will to overcome it. If someone wants to prove it is not real, then they can resist. I can almost always create a flow of energy that people can feel, but the doubters will just say I have some how caused a psycosomatic response. They probably feel something subtle but refuse to acknowledge it as other than imagination. I really feel that anyone who needs 'magic' to be demonstratable, and measurable is not ready for it.
My son used to ask us (me and his mom) what good all the training in energy was if he could not use it to prove his ability to his friends. I asked why it was important. He was only 15 so I understand. I told him that other than moving him toward self-enlightnment, it would help him get great jobs, meet the right people, stay healthy, become more intellingent, have insight into peoples motives and so on. He gets it now, but back then he could care less about those things. He wanted to be able to prove he was a special person to be respected and lookeed up to.
The thing is I have been able to show many people all sorts of amazing yogic powers, but only when my motives were purely teaching, and the observers were not angry nay-sayers. I pulled off a fantasy level amazing act of weather control in front of about 10 observers one time. If I called a camara crew and wanted to prove this, I would be asured of failure and embarresment.

Obviously you do meditation to work on the energy body but appart from that what do you do?

DVA is Dream Views Acadamy. It is one of the forums. They offer classes. I will be teaching the basics of energy work, after some meditation. The class starts in 2 weeks and is called "Dream Yoga"

As for learning the truth about centers if a person is going to call himself master hes a liar.a good teacher is the best you can find.
