      Really Weird Dream, views.....

Hi Everyone, I am new here. I found this forum and thought this might be the best place to post this to see what everyone thought because I am totally baffled.

I lost someone very close to me quite recently and I have been dreaming about them a lot. On Monday night I had a dream where a specific date was mentioned and I remembered it, the date was the 1st of June 2017, I woke up and the date was still clear in my mind so I wrote it straight away in my phone. I forgot all about it till later in the day and thought what could it mean..... anyway. I wondered what age I would be on this date and looked on an online date calculator and it worked out I will be exactly 40, 6 months and 8 days. I then looked up the date of the person who I was dreaming abouts date of birth and date of death and it came up EXACTLY the same. So basically I dreamed this date and on that date I will be EXACTLY the same age, months and days as the person who died.

I am not good at maths and have no idea how my subconcious has worked this out. I had no knowledge of the other persons exact age at death and have no idea how I worked this out. Has anyone any experience with anything like this or have any ideas of what this could be about?

I have very vivid dreams and have on 2 occasions had shared dreams with the person who is passed. I have a few times been aware of being dreaming but not sure if this was lucid or not. As soon as I have become aware of it being a dream usually things will change and the dream will change to suit reality.

Any comments would be really appreciated. Thanks

Wow that's crazy. Our brains are fascinating and complex, who knows how this is even possible. The odds of it being a coincidence is really really slim. Things like this is what make me believe in precognitive and shared dreams because there is almost no other explanation for it.

Three competing ideas about how this works:

      1. You're subconsciously attentive to dates and really good at arithmetic.
      2. You're crazy, and retroactively changed the recorded date after you figured out what the right one would have been.
      3. You're subconsciously aware of all possible futures, and picked the date that results in you later noting the coincidence.

I think the third option is the right one, or at least a lot closer to the truth than the other two, even though its fantastic on the face of it.

I would hypothesize that the human brain is much more powerful than we would think it is. How else could we formulate entire landscapes and dream scenes?

You may think you're bad at math, but you know your birthday, how many days are in each month, and when the leap years are. Even if you cannot recall them in your waking life, I think your subconscious has the ability to do that kind of math.

And I think your subconscious did that on purpose to scare you. If you specifically die in five years, then I may have to do some questioning of my personal beliefs. But I think you shall live, just don't let placebo kill you.
