Question Are Hemi-Sync/Brainwave binural beats and isochronic tones question limiting? Any alternatives?

This is for anyone well versed or experienced in these sorts of audio recordings.

I have read the book, "Touching The Light" by Meg Blackburn Losey. She advises that you don't use these types of recordings because they program your brain to a certain point and keep you from going beyond it.

I was wondering what more advanced travelers who had perhaps used these types of recordings would have to say. I am also curious as to what the best type of music or sounds, if any, would be to listen to to open one's mind allowing them to astral project or re-enter their dreams. I know Shamanic Drumming is one possible alternative. But there are few recordings of this out there. Just Michael Harner's work as far as I know. Is there anything else?

Appreciate the thoughts and suggestions -

Not really sure. It may limit you to the frequency that is being played, but IMO only when it is played. When the beats stop the brain returns back to normal. She says not to use the waves while attempting to access a higher frequency and instead play music that moves you. Using binural beats for other purposes should pose no problem.

As I understand it they only work as a aid to help induce a certain state of mind. If your mind wants to change to a different state it will have no problem, the audio only helps get your brain into a certain frequency quicker and deeper.

I'm sure there is a frequency that would enable one to enter sleep paralysis or a precursor state of astral projection more easily. A lot of people have recorded out of body experiences while listening to binaural/isochronic tones oscillating at the Schumann resonance, however i feel that it is much to light of a trance state, perhaps a lower octave than the traditional 7.62hz (not exact)
