Lightbulb WILD- Astral Projection? Or Lucid Dream?

So, this question is always raised. When you are attempting a WILD, and you enter sleep paralysis, is rolling out of bed into a Lucid Dream, or is it Astral Projection?

I've read many books, internet articles, and many posts on this forum. Only to come to the conclusion that many people cannot agree.

I'd like to take a poll as to whether you think it is a dream, or something entirely different (Astral Projection.)

Feel free to post your reasons why you think so in this thread as well!

      This should be interesting!

The sailor does not control the sea, nor does the lucid dreamer control the dream. Like a sailor, lucid dreamers manipulate or direct themselves in the larger expanse of dreaming; however, they do not control it. Lucid dreaming appears to be a co-created experience. ~Robert Waggoner

Hmm the way I see it is that we are consciousness, that in a physical body because of the (memories, subconscious and emotions) forms an avatar or personality.

This is just my opinion not fact of course.

To live is to have an consciousness, to lucid dream or astral project is to move the consciousness. When we lucid dream we move the consciousness to our dreams (obviously) but I mean the memories, subconscious and emotions. So when we dream or astral project we move our consciousness to a different and higher frequency of existence.

So yes the only difference of our dreams and astral in my eyes is the information you attain from each experience, known or unknown.

So to roll out of bed can either be the frequency of physical reality, dreams or astral.

To understand my thinking.. here is a video:

I moved your thread and for some reason the poll couldn't get moved, I am sorry about that ... But I hope my answer can make up for that.

That's alright I was only hoping for a few responses anyways. That video is very interesting. Thanks for the feedback!

For me, anytime you "fly" in a supposed dream, you are not dreaming you are having an out of body experience. Your spirit can go beyond our own dimension into others as well. To each his own.

I'm pretty sure that the original use of "roll out of bed" was in EWOLD, and meant to be a metaphor for "leaving" your physical body behind as you enter the dreamworld (or re-enter, as the rolling bit was really meant for DEILD). I don't think LaBerge ever meant his words to be taken literally, and assumed that, because you still had waking awareness in hand, you would know that you were entering a dream, as planned, and not some astral plane.

WILD is a Wake Induced Lucid Dream, and not a Wake Induced Astral Projection.

I can see one way to know if you are dreaming or not :

Find something you do not know about while OBE'ing and once awake confirm that this find indeed exist.
Like the title of a book under you fridge.

Some people are gonna say : but my OBE'ing world is slightly different that the real world, then you cannot know if you are indeed having and OBE or be lucid dreaming.

It's an OBE, thus an Astral Projection.
A Lucid Dream is a Dream, during your sleep.
This is a Chillstep / Drum & Bass song I'm currently working on: Check it out!

He could be dreaming that he is falling asleep and rooling out.
Then having a false-OBE the same way you can have a false-awakening

Each time I have rolled out I was in a WILD, and a few times I floated out, I was in OBE. At least, that's how I see it. They both started the same way.
