one of the strangest experiences on my life

hi everyone,
i decided to join this forum today because a couple hours ago i had one of the strangest experiences of my life. i was napping on my couch where i tend to have very vivid, and sometimes lucid dreams. i tend to be in a weird dream state when i nap on the couch, constantly falling asleep and coming too over and over again. i had been dozing off for about an hour or so, and im not exactly sure what happened, but my eyes were either open when i fell asleep or they had opened suddenly and i could now see the doorway of my living room. instinctively, i sat up and walked out of my living room and up the stairs. i was extremely dizzy and light headed, and even thought i was still half asleep, walking upstairs to bed, when i suddenly was back on the couch in the same position staring at my living room door. i thought it was extremely weird, so i got up again and made my way up the stairs. again i was "teleported" back to the same position. i was certain i was awake and kept getting up, now even more "conscience" and "aware" of my surroundings, but each time i was getting less and less further away from my starting point until i was literally stuck there, and there was no ability to "teleport". it suddenly stuck me that i had been dreaming or something along those lines with my eyes open and i was still looking at the door. i was completely paralyzed however, and couldn't move my physical body in reality, or my new dream like state i had never experienced before. my parents were in the other room, so i thought that i would just call out to them and they would come over and give me a shake or something. i literally tried to yell to them "hey, can someone come and wake me up, im stuck". but it was too difficult, and i think i may have just whispered it. i then started to get a bit nervous, and started "thinking" as hard as i could. somehow, my unconscious dreaming and conscious living reality aligned so to speak, i exited sleep paralysis, and i suddenly snapped back to being actually awake... lol for real this time... staring at the doorway of my living room. i have looked everywhere, but have not read about any cases of what i experienced, mostly just people experiencing fear and the feeling of a person or people around them, not movement. im also confused by the fact that my house was exactly the way it is when i was in my dream state. if anyone can tell me about this, or about their experience in a similar situation i would like to know. thanks

You had what's called seeing through your closed eyelids. You were not awake. You were asleep, and either you had a lucid dream, or you had an OBE. I'm leaning towards OBE, just because everything was exactly as it is in your house. But can't rule out LD either. In either case, it was not your physical body walking through the house, but your dream/astral body. Cool and fun. Happy dreams:alien:
