      Question about meditation

So I've been trying to raise my self-awareness and visualization skills through meditation and I was just wondering, do I use binaural beats for the self-awareness part of the visualization part or both? Something that I haven't been sure about for a while.

Thanks for the reply, Chimp. I'll try meditating in silence as it's how meditation was originally intended to be practiced. Thanks a lot ^.^

I use binaural beats (Hemi Sync) mostly when meditating as it helps me focus.

I have a pretty active mind and find that meditation is hard, however, I do plan on going back to doing it in silence after I get better using the binaural beats.

Binaural beats are pretty cool. I meditate to different tracks from time to time. Personally I enjoy mixing it up. There is a guided kundalini meditation video on youtube that is nice to meditate with as well.
My deepest experiences have come in silence. That way every feeling, sensation, thought, or imagination is coming from you. Once you achieve even a small amount of focus, it can be a great experience.
But again, there is no right way to meditate

Agreed! There are so many ways you can meditate. They are all worth something. Experiment and be open to switching up the way you do things. Sometimes silence, sometimes listening to the clock. The activities or lack of activity you set your mind to should also be flexible.
