How do I "send" someone a dream?

Hello out there! I'd like to ask some experienced dreamers a question. What is the best way to go about sending someone a dream? For example, let's say I recenty met and hung out with a girl I really like. We had a good time, connected on a pretty deep spiritual level, and have been in contact via phone since. Say I want her to have a dream about a future experience she could have with me...meeting in a particular place, doing a particular thing, feeling a certain way while she is there etc...how do I go ahead and do that? All I want to do is provide her with a picture of the potential that exists via words or pictures etc...THANKS!!!

You know what they say about how we use only 10% of our brains... well, you can put out a lot of suggestions to the Collective Consciousness, to send this young lady a dream, and, yes, she will get a dream; however, the Higher Mind is not going to confine itself to your micromanagement. It is never good to be too specific with your suggestions to either the Subconscious Mind or the Superconscious Mind. It would be like the 10% telling the 90% how to act.

I once had a Dream that I was looking into the Studio of Dreams -- where dreams are created. It was like a huge news room, swamped with people -- many at their desks, but others milling around, some at the water coolers, some kicked back smoking (that is how old this dream was... people could still smoke in office buildings) just thinking of what to do next. This is an awful lot of talent, and one should learn to take advantage of it. So when making suggestions for dreams, keep free of details and specify goals and results. Let the Talent figure out the details, and you will be amazed at the wonderful job the Dream Studio can do without being micromanaged.

Now, specifically about sending the Dream. First, a lesson about Magic. They call it 'sympathetic' magic, but what this means in concrete terms is that one needs to associate Subjects with Objects. A famous old Guru used to simply use different coins to represent his different students. In the Astral Planes the Student and the Coin become instantly linked. It is like good Voodoo -- where the little Object Doll is linked to the Subject Victim. So, find an Object that will be linked to your Subject, that is, your young lady friend. And while focussing on this thing, implore the Superconscious Mind to create and provide a special dream for that Object/Subject.

But it can be done with just Thought. I'm fairly sure that I have received more than a few dreams at the suggestion of some of the kind and sweet people of this Page (and since the suggestion came in one end of the Higher Dream Studio and then out of the other as a fully developed production, those who suggested the Dream in the first place, when I told them about it later, probably were too modest to recognize that it started with them).

I sincerely hope you're joking! I often find it hard to tell

You're best bet would be to visualise a dream BEFORE going to sleep, and talking about it between the two of you. Basically what's called 'dream incubation'
If you want to have a shared dream, then good luck. I doubt there's many here that can give you a lot of advice on that - it's not a textbook subject.

BTW: Sympathetic magic is a term generally used by skeptics to describe things that are wholey imaginary and form an air of mystery. Leo, I'm not sure if it's entirely what was meant

This is right along the line of shared lucid dreams. I experimented with this for a month, and got some interesting results. You could try the experiment, too. I worked with a partner (it would be beneficial if you had an experienced lucid dreamer for a partner), we designated a question in which I would ask him, which I did not know the answer to (as the control, to test the viability). Every night, I would call him into my dreams and ask.

For a long time, I did not receive the correct answer. But strangely, as time went on, we found we were beginning to have dreams that were in the same location, with the same other individuals involved. It became more of a dream telepathy than a shared dream or trying to project dreams or messages.

Our experiment could have been improved if we knew we were trying for dream telepathy. Designating a location to "meet" would probably be beneficial.

      I hope that helps!

And that whole "using only 10% of the brain" stuff...it's kind of a misleading statement, as it's been proven that, yes, we often only use 10% of our brains, but we're using almost all of our brain, but only part of it at any given time. You're not going to be accessing memory, doing math puzzles, creating art, viewing an image, jogging, experiencing pain, and meditating all at the same time...these activities use different parts of the brain yet only require about 10% ...agh, so inarticulate. I hope that made sense.
