There aren't any dangers of Astral Projecting until you start to project to the higher realms. You * technically* do it every night, dreams take place in the low astral. |

REALITY CHECK
I'm actually curious on astral projection myself. Although from what I've heard it's something like transporting yourself to a higher frequency. I don't really know what that means, but it sounds interesting. |

Peter piper picked your pecker.... wait that's not right.
There are no real dangers to AP. Any danger you read about is a trumped up myth created by some one who fancies him/herself to be a real explorer. No one really gives a shit about exploration if there isn't any danger involved. What dangers have been proven? None. All we hear about is the traveler feeling like they are in danger and then rushing back to their body thinking "Whew that was close". Feeling in danger doesn't mean you are. |

Things exist on the higher planes, you see, that are dangerous...they can cause you to stay there forever...and people will think you just died in your sleep. |
|
REALITY CHECK
i'd like to know what things you have experienced TraceFleeman that you feel are dangerous and cause you to stay forever in these higher planes. to OP this is utter bullsh%# and i can almost guarantee that this person doesn't have any or very little experience of his own. you have to be careful the things you read about this subject cause there is a lot of complete garbage floating around. start your studying with some of the well known writers like Robert Monroe and William Buhlman. people that give you responses that instill more fear in you about it are fearful themselves. |
|
Well, of course, I haven't experienced complete isolation on the planes (yet), but I will tell you one thing: On this very forum, a man reported how he lives 2 years in a dream, per night - One day, after a long history of activity, he just stopped posting. We don't know why, everything just went...inactive. We joked about how he probably lost the connection between the worlds, jokingly, but of course, when i'm lying in bed sometimes I wonder what really happened to him...I still don't know. Also, when death occurs, DMT, the chemical that causes dreams, is released. I mean all of it - this causes the most vivid dream of your life, and makes it seem like you are living forever. Note that all dreams take place on the astral...hehe. |

REALITY CHECK
I don't remember exactly - maybe I could find it? I'll try now. |
|
REALITY CHECK
I never said that - I was just saying that I wonder what really happened. You seem to be dodging the rest of my post. |
|
REALITY CHECK
I am pretty keen to find out about this also.. Always have been. |
|
Anyone want to put together a tutorial or link us to one thy can guide us and step is in the right direction with Astral Projection? That'd be great. |
|
Actually that was one of the purposes of this thread, but all replys focused on the danger zone..When i asked about any possible dangers i wanted to hear all opinions and experienses that people had.Noone can say for sure if there is any dangers in AP because if that danger means death its obvious that we couldnt know. But if this danger is something physical most people wouldnt know them because they hadnt experienced that yet and because AP is a concept that most people dont give a shit.Thats why i wanted to know if they are any possible physical dangers so i can start practising AP.. |
|
I never done AP. But i'm curious and interested in doing it. I read books, forums, opinions of people who done it, amateur, skilled persons, saw videos, etc, and all of them don't say it's dangerous. If we feel any danger whatsoever we can always get back to our physical body. There is no harm. |
|
Just because he stopped posting that doesn't mean he's stuck in a 2 year dream. And there is no proof that DMT is really what causes dreams, that was just a theory. All we know is that it is naturally in our brains, but not exactly what it does. |

i have been having troubles astral projectiong, the state you need to be in before you can project is similar to the one in a trance when hypnotized. but i cant seem to go further than this and need help on how to continue forward. i feel like my body has no weight and i am aware of where i am but i cant go further. i will lay in my bed without moving for 2 or more hours on some days. |
|
I think if you read Monroe's or Buhlman's books, people that have reported thousands of their own APs as well as working with others, nobody has ever been stuck out of the body from an Astral Projection. |

- Alan Watts.
...have you ever tried DMT XD? |
|
REALITY CHECK
Me? I'm far too scared to relinquish that kind of control over my mind - I'm quite flakey. |
