      cant get to vibrations

I have tried projecting 6 times now. 3 of them as i was going to sleep, but i fell asleep. As for the other 3, I meditate, have all the normal experiences (I become less aware of my body and paralysis sets in.) But when the first buzz of vibrations starts to set in, I guess i get excited, cuz i loose the right mindset. After that, no matter how long i try, i cant get the hang of it.

my questions are, 1. what do I focus on? Ive tried the ringing in my ears, but then i think too much. I cant stay focussed on the counting. focussing on the blackness behind my eyes just makes me wonder if im doing it right.

      2. when i feel it coming, what do i do?

3.how awake am i supposed to be? Ive found that im either too focussed which keeps me awake, or im not focussed enough, which makes makes my mind wander

4.how do i know if im doing it right??

to me it almost sounds like you've answered your own question for the most part.

" But when the first buzz of vibrations starts to set in, I guess i get excited, cuz i loose the right mindset."

if you're actually getting to a paralysis state you are like 90% there. key is to just stay calm and relaxed. if you do start to feel vibrations (not everyone does) be prepared for some turbulence they can feel mild or REALLY rough like shake you apart rough until you get used to it. just hang in and stay calm and encourage them to get stronger until they are throughout your entire body. in my experience they start out rough (i picture it like a tuning fork getting whacked on something, that's the best way for me to try and describe it) and as it spreads through your whole body you'll feel them get stronger but at the same time it vibrates with less turbulence. for me this is a matter of a second or two for them to reach full force once they come on and it's actually not unpleasant at all at least after the first time. once this happens i almost always say to myself in my mind "ok here we go" and then i lift out into a number of different places (usually near my body somewhere in the house or out in the starfield) and my vision will "fade" in.
if you're actually getting to vibrations after only 6 attempts though, wow kudos to you sir. for me personally it took 9 months for me to have my first OOBE. keep in mind the goal is to actually fall asleep. you just need to learn to do it consciously. theres tons of great guides out there, several good ones i've seen on these forums. i'll try to give my opinion for each numbered question quickly though:
      1. "what do I focus on?" don't over focus on anything. mind has to be relaxed and mostly just aware but unfocused. but also don't focus on not being focused if that makes sense. this will take some time and in my opinion the hardest part (i still have trouble).
      2. "when i feel it coming, what do i do?" just stay relaxed, don't move, let it come on till it's set in good and then just mentally will it to get stronger and it will overcome your whole energy body.
      3. "how awake am i supposed to be?" don't focus at all you need to let yourself fall asleep. this goes back to #1 and i'd suggest reading up on WILD techniques for this. it's gonna take some practice.
      4. "how do i know if im doing it right??" i guess technically the only way you'll truly know is when you have your own successful OOBE and believe me there is no mistaking it when you do. most guides will say to stick with the technique you are using for at least a month though.

i hope that helps a little and like i said if you're already getting vibrations after 6 attempts you are nearly there.
      gab and apurtell like this.
