Black Aura In A Lucid Dream

It might be silly to post this but I had a very troublesome experience in my last lucid. I as on a roll with DEILD chaining but I kept having an OBE type experience (typical for me). What really creeped me out was when I paused in the bathroom to have some fun looking in the mirror. My reflection was almost a DC on its own but was very distorted and evil looking. What worried me the most is that it had a black aura coming off it like a vapor or smoke.

Is it just random bs from my subC or is there some meaning to seeing auras in a LD? I'm guessing it would be a bad thing. The time before that I looked in the mirror and I saw myself become a werewolf. Maybe I have some inner demons. Mwhahahaha!

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Sometimes we dream of stuff that isn't really what we usually dream about. A few nights ago I dreamt of decapicated bodies...pretty graphic but I don't normally dream of something that graphic and I didn't watch any horror movies, it was really out of the blue. But anyway the point here is that sometimes we dream of stuff we don't normally dream about. This black evil DC, I wouldn't worry too much, but you could always ask the thing what it wants. Maybe it's your inner demon trying to escape into the physical world, don't let it escape! Jk

I looked at myself once in a mirror in a lucid. My reflection made this happy face and started dancing around and I started cracking up. That's about as far as it goes in a lucid though, but in a non-lucid once I looked at myself in the mirror when I felt a little under the weather and my face was mutating, rotting off, and turning to stone, and the grim reaper was standing behind me very detailed and very vivid with an evil flamey aura and a huge scythe. I turned out alright lol. I'm guessing it was probably just a mirror thing, mirrors in dreams can get very bizarre. Same goes for using hallucinogens, and seeing yourself with an aura, looking evil, or turning into a werewolf are all surprising common on them.

Though personally, I think it would be cool to have a black aura. But I don't really know what different colors are supposed to mean.

Thanks, Daredevilpwn, I'll try to hold it in. LOL.

Well I wasn't using a hallucinogen but I can see how the dream state would be very close to it. So, I see your point. I think I would have peed myself if I had your experience.

Meh... I guess I was reading too much into it. I kind of look at the psychological meaning and/or spiritual meaning behind a lot of my lucid experiences. Perhaps sometimes, even with lucids, a dream is just a dream. It's just that this one was really different.

Most likely it was just one of those mirror things. Once I tried to summon my aura in LD to attempt some healing. Maybe you wanna try and see it in a nicer color, I'm sure. Here is the link to McWillis's older post.

Hmm that's more along the lines of the types of things that I am beginning to consider. Thanks for the link.

Edit: Oh BTW, I am not sure I believe that OBE's aren't just LDs but what would you think of someone finding they're body in the bed without a head? (It was the same dream)

Haha, not funny. I would probably wake up.

That could have been a LD. But as I read Buhlmans book, he used to visit his friends for the purpose of confirming if he really visited them in real world, or if it was something else. Many times they confirmed exactly everything he described, but sometime he saw things that friends didn't confirm. Did he visit some alternate reality, past, future, I have no idea, and I don't remember him explaining it either.

i'm just gonna go out on a limb and say that you most likely have something really evil living in your bathroom mirror...on second thought nah, chalk it up as bizarre subconscious dream thought.

I never recognize myself when I look at a mirror. I know that the image is me but it looks different .

Could you feel the aura in yourself? Like, did you feel it go wobble wobble as it moved around?

I highly doubt it has something to do with any evil paranormal thing.

It's probably the mirror messing with your head. Mirrors are weird ^^
Try to recreate it on yourself next time and see how that turns out

'The petals dance through the wind,
The crimson blood shimmers on the snow,
The shattered heart weeps of hidden sorrow.
And over a pure white sky,
      rises a black moon.'

No max there was no physical sensation with it.

And I agree with you. Its just one of thos random dream things. Its more psychological than paranormal.

I doubt it means you're evil. In my mind what jumps to mind is that you see something in yourself (metaphorically at least) which you disagree with on some level, perhaps it's something you should consider?
Float tanks, heard of them? If not, you should. I work with them and they offer one of the most relaxing environments possible.
