Tried to find Spirit Guide...but he's in trouble?

Hi there everybody! I just joined the forum a few days ago, because I frequently have unique dream-state experiences, and would like to share them so as to understand them better, and I would love to participate in the community on this forum.

So last night I realized I was dreaming (usually happens once or twice a week now, proud of this number :D) and used my special method for forcing full lucidity and detail in my environment. Every time I do this I get a little better at it. I've also just last night fully mastered the art of flying. I usually would be wobbly and found flying hard to control or maintain but this time I seemed to have the greatest amount of control I've ever had. Since I felt, this time, like I was competent enough to explore the LD state further, I decided I would finally meet my spirit guide. So I flew to where I knew I needed to go for this, which ended up being this "tree of knowledge" with a female caretaker or "oracle" of sorts beneath it. The tree seemed to me to be significant, not simply a creation of my imagination. At first it looked as though there was a book hanging from every branch and twig, and I understood that this tree contained knowledge of many, many things. I approached the lady under the tree and I asked her where my spirit guide was because I wanted to meet him/her. Her response was very clear in my mind right after I heard it but unfortunately I took maybe two or three minutes too long after waking to write it down, and so it's not clear ver batum. But what she said was nearly this: "Your spirit guide tried to take over your house, so he is banned. You cannot see him." At the time I interpreted "house" to mean my body. I'm really unhappy that my first serious attempt to meet my spirit guide has led to a dead end. I'm very determined and won't stop trying, but please, those of you who are open to the idea of spirit guides, could you help me to understand what this could mean? Is it possible that this woman has lied to me? What could it mean that my guide tried to take over or control my house (body)? What authority could ban a guide from making contact with me? Anyone else have any experiences of spirit guide stuff in LD's? Also, has anyone ever heard of a "tree of knowledge" before? This dream was very bizarre, and if it helps, it didn't feel like the most physical "real-world" realm. Things were a little more conceptual and impression-based than some of the pure sensory, sequential, stable LD's I've had of real places.

First of all, spirit guides either helps you or tries and tests you, so if you want to meet this guide you need to do missions, which is what your dream guide wants you to do. I did missions to find someone i share dream with, but not guides, it can work either way to do missions.
Once you complete certain missions, he/she will come to you, missions can be done before dreams and you can create all day awareness to induce this kind of mission and the dream will form your own mission for you.

I've read a lot about spirit guides and have never heard anything like that before. Where did you get that info? Am I supposed to just ask the dream to give me a mission next time I become lucid?

Actually what HAVE you been reading? or not read enough about. Spirit guides helps you and give you help on just anything including missions and answers to why you can't see the guide, maybe you aren't ready to do so, and the guide is testing your dream abilities.

This is how I would have interpreted your dream. I think the tree of knowledge in your dream is representative of wisdom, in other words it is the source of the answers to your questions. Therefore the "oracle" is probably your higher self saying that it is not possible at this time to contact your spirit guide because of your own set of beliefs. On the one hand you want to meet your spirit guide very much, but on the other hand your own fear is holding you back. Perhaps you feel that the guide might take over your body, or you are simple anxious about how the first encounter will be. It sounds as if you are being told "you cannot see him" rather than "he is not there". I would say just accept your spirit guide has your best interests at heart and make yourself more open to meeting him in your dreams. I don't think your guide literally wanted to take over your body.

they say "god" works in mysterious ways right? everything i've read, experienced and have seen first hand has led me to believe that these "beings" or whatever you want to call them... all work in mysterious ways. usually when you ask a question they will respond with a riddle of some sort. but never a cut and dry direct answer. these entity's are also not stuck in bound to one materialistic like shape, being or face.. after all, we're, they're, everything is all energy right? i believe with what we will in certain situations like these and what happens will always be exactly the way it was meant to happen. its the perception of what happens that has the real answers.
