      Odd LD Experience

So a couple nights ago I had a really interesting experience. I was chaining lucid dreams using DILD method. I did this approximately 5 times and ended up in the exact same location each time surrounded by the same people each time. They were talking to me but I couldn't hear and my speech was nothing more than a whisper and I could not hear them telepathically either. I kept signaling to them that I couldn't hear. Finally about the 3rd return in I remembered I was wearing ear plugs! I took them out in the dream world and amazingly I could hear. This seems to happen a lot to me where I have problems hearing or seeing especially although usually it's during an OOBE. Normally in a lucid dream I can hear just fine. I don't wear ear plugs to bed all the time but I thought that was pretty bizarre that they would affect my hearing in the dream world as well. Would love to hear your similar experiences.

Yes, many senses are still "awake" when one is dreaming. I usually wake up when my TV is on after a dream regarding what show is on TV.
