The first task in self-hypnosis would be to awaken yourself habitually at about 4 am every morning so you can attempt lucid dreaming. That is easy once you understand it and apply it. |

this is a fairly new topic to me and i have been reading into it. I have successfully self hypnotised twice and would like to know more about it and your experiences/ techniques. |

Firstly, I wouldn't put this thread here since hypnosis is not supernatural. Many studies have been conducted (with varying results) regarding the effects of hypnosis. Secondly, hypnosis isn't a technique used to put yourself into SP. Hypnosis is a state you enter and then proceed to give yourself suggestions. To grossly oversimplify hypnosis: |

When I was younger I found a book my stepfather had in his collection about self-hypnosis. At the time in high school I was having insomnia issues. The techniques I learned from the book allowed me to relax both my mind and my body and was able to sleep again. |

Do you happen to remember the name of the book because i am curious and i enjoy reading on this? |
|
I used to self-hypnotize myself as a child without realizing it. Well, I think that's what it was. |
