Precognative Dreams and the String Theory

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong about any of the information here regarding the string theory. I haven't really studied it at all, and I only have a basic understanding of what it is all about. I know that there are several different versions of the string theory as well, but I'd like to sort of generalize it.

I don't know if this idea has been touched before, but I think it is definitely something to look in to.

I'm sure many of you have had a dream that in one way or another, even a short piece, 'comes true.' I used to think that this must be a premonition of future events, but what if I told you that the event had already happened--you just hadn't experienced it yet?

Of course, by "you" I'm refering to the "you" that is reading this right now. As I understand, along with the string theory, there are "world lines"; an infinite number of separate realities like this one--and the same number completely different. With each passing moment, a single worldline splits into an infinite number more worldlines, where an event happens, and an event doesn't happen.

For example, there are an infinite number of worldlines where I am writing this message, and an infinite number of worldlines where I am not--and there are an infinte number of worldines where you are or are not reading this.

Through this idea, literally anything is possible. There are worldlines where we all are green with pink polka dots, and we can fly with no regard for 'known' physics.

And I have a feeling that the mind somehow has a way to communicate with other worldlines. Perhaps all of the duplicates of a single person are psychically linked, or even everyone that has ever existed has this link. Through this link, since any event in any point of time can be happening, you effectively "see" an event in another worldline that takes place some time after the point of time you are experiencing in your own worldline.

I'm sure this could all just be a bunch of creative horse shit, but it could be worth a thought at least.

Here's a metaphor I like to use. Realities and Choices, etc, are like a Game on a CD ROM. All the choices are already there for you to choose, all the possible outcomes that we could make are already on the CD ROM. You just have to choose the path you want to take. As for people telling the future, anybody could say anything about the future, and it would already be a "worldline," there is a worldline for every possibility that could ever exsist.

So in theory if I said, in the future I will turn into a wizard with powers, this is a truth, only I may not choose to create this reality in my worldline. It's like a big contradiction, I am, and have already experienced being a wizard, but I am not choosing to experience myself as one right now.

Now occasionally a person may see or guess into a possible reality, that manifests itself in our world line, then this person could technically be predicting the future, but nothing is written in stone, because any reality can be created, the CD ROM has every possiblity.

If you want to know more, I sugget you read about the theory of relativity, the quantom theory, the chaos theory, the M-Theory (aka. the bubble theory or the multiverse theory).

I was under the asumption that the string theory is like a string that vibrates and every direction that it vibrates in is a dimension. we exisist in certain string dimensions , which are our sences. But that is not all that exsist. I think there is like 10 or somthing. So you and your alternate or other world that might have been , if you decided to make another decision that you didn't ultimatly make , does not exsist in this demesion , with the senses that we experience. They are some where else , as in another demension which could be over lapping with this space or we could be over lapping with another time of the slightly altered version of our world, and if anyone has any perception of senses they might pick it up with one of the higher ones that we don't even know that we have.. which means that in theory you could make one end of the string touch the other with out having to travel through the middle , isn't that what Einstein or someone was talking about. it doesn't mean that you physically go there, you might already be there. i heard about string theory from an asian guy named miko cako or something, on Tech TV. sounds cool. he also made mention of multiverse. it sounds completely impossible, but think of everything else that was thought as impossible in the past. if it is possible, i wish i were in a different one.

You are committing a very common error. You are confusing Mathematical Models for reality. Just because somebody can draw a complicated and imaginary formula on a blackboard does not mean that there is any reality conjoined to it.

It is one of the oldest errors of Philosophy. it goes all the way back to before Plato. They used to think that anything that was 'thinkable' had to have a reality in some higher, more etheric realm. In the Middle Ages Philosophy was finally able to shake off that Error when the Nominalist Philosophers kicked the crap out of the Realists... that is when the Philosophers who maintained that Words and Concepts only 'Named' ideas but did not signify any actual existence, and the "Realists", quite counter-intuitively, were those who felt (they couldn't 'think' anything so silly) that all ideas, concepts, words were based upon Realities -- that to 'Name' something was to identify something that had an actual Substance here or on some Higher Plane of Reality... what the Greeks called the Logos. Anyway, the Nominalists won the argument and for the next several centuries the Philosophers of the World laughed uninterruptedly at the silly Realists who thoutht that their thinking about things made those things 'Real'.

But, then, with Einstein, the laughing stopped and Philosophy became silly again. Perhaps the math became so incomprehensible tht people felt (again it was too silly to 'think') that it must be true. But when you look closely, yes, we are only still just talking about imaginary mathematical models. Nothing that is Really Real.

I have a twin brother who was a musician and he used to almost worship Jazz Musicians. I told him that it was all bullcrap and that they were probably laughing at people for taking them seriously. he almost hated me for saying that. But years later, he was backstage and heard some Jazz Musicians laughing that their audience had applauded after the crap they had just played. he called and apologized to me.

Now, let me tell you... that these mathematicians are pasting together these imaginary models of Nothing and they are laughing at the general public for taking any of it seriously. Study math, go to University, get your Doctorate and then Join the Club, and you will one day send me your own apology when you find your coleagues laughing at the gullibility of the General Public. Laughing at posts such as yours which supposes that String Theory is anything besides an imaginary mathematical construct.

Oh and so I don't hijack the topic, here is why I think the String Theory is wrong. There are five Platonic solids (shapes with very nice geometry), and supposedly there is a growth pattern between them. This has been discovered in one application, Cymatics. The String Theory is built on the premise that no there is not eight, each solid has to be used twice for symmetry, so there is ten dimensions...Pretty baseless if you ask me.

This gives the idea that light, sound, geometry are all related by vibration, and that R color scale is the same as CDEFGABC on the music scale, also related to the octave structure of the ordering of the Platonic solids.

Yes, string theory is really quite interesting, i have studied it a little. Right now, it is just a mathematical model of how the universe COULD function. It requires a framework of 10-11 dimensions depending on the equations, only four of which we perceive. Last I heard, string theory was beginning to fall out of favor. Research particle pairing, it has some application to your ideas/

String theory doesn't have anything to do with your brain etc.

All it is is the first ever mathematical link between Electromagnetism and Gravity - The theory of everything.

The problem is that it requires multiple dimensions, and more than one different version of the string theory has been discovered, which is paradoxial.

A string is said to be a little loop of wobbling energy, and every proton, neutron and electron (etc.) consists of billions of these.

Mmmmmmmmmm. We are like "Little Children" grasping at straws......trying to be "All Grown Up". !!! Afterall, we are little more than "Talking Monkeys" on a Cosmic time scale. And it is we who dream up these therories staring out from our "Goldfish Bowl". Is it to our advantage to think we are the Centre of our Microsmic Universe.
