Question Shared dream, is it possible?

Is shared dream really possible. I have never performed neither ordinary lucid dream. But I was wondering is a shared dream possible like in the movie Inception when they are all in a one dream. And has anybody ever done it? And what were the experiences?

It's impossible unless you wait for the future to do it's magic or connect your brain to others or stuff.

I do remember watching a video on YouTube about a guy having his brother in a Lucid Dream with him. I do not have a link at the moment but will put one in if I can find it again.

      (Guy1 = story teller | Guy2 = brother)
It started out as guy1 becoming lucid in a dream. He saw his brother guy2 and tried to convince him he was dreaming. A few more things happened from there which is not really necessary.

The next morning when guy1 woke up, he immediately called up his brother who lived in another state, and asked him if he had a Lucid Dream last night. Guy1 then asked guy2 to explain what had happened (remember guy1 has not told guy2 anything about his dream yet). After guy2 had explained his dream, it was exactly the same except they were obviously from different point of views. Guy1 was stating how shocked he was and he didn't think something like that was possible.

This is just from what I have seen on YouTube and may not be real so yeah.

The answer to this question depends very much on who you ask, and on DV it depends on which subforum you ask it in.

If you had posted your question in the Beyond Dreaming subforum where people are more open to ideas that have not been proven by science, you would be likely to get a very different response than when asking this question in the General Lucid Dreaming subforum where people are more likely to be skeptical of any phenomena science cannot explain. However, there was a time when mainstream science was very skeptical of lucid dreaming itself and it was not scientifically proven. Now it is. Will shared dreaming someday be scientifically proven or not? THe trouble with not scientifically proven phenomena is that we have less basis for evaluating whether or not they are real, but I think it is a mistake to dismiss them all because there are some phenomena science does not understand yet - but of course not all claims of supernatural phenomena are based on truth. How do you tell which are? It depends on which sources you are willing to trust, and which level of proof you need.

Really depends on your beliefs and how open minded you are. I haven't had experiences with shared dreaming but i believe that it is possible, however from what i've heard strong connection to a person to share dream with is pretty much recommended/required. Also if you are interested in attempting it there's a subforum that focuses on it: http://www.dreamviews.com/internatio...aming-project/

Everybody is looking for answer on this question. I believe it is possible, but it seems almost impossible to us because we do not understand how to do it.

During 6 years I had few attempts of shared dreaming, most of them were failed. Recently I had couple of dreams that I believe might be shared with another female lucid dreamer. They brought my attention back to share dreaming, at the moment I am trying to get back to those dream, trying to meet that dreamer again. Never succeeded in shared dreaming on purpose, but here I got success with unknown person. Of course it is impossible to prove it unless I find this person online. But I do not want to reject this idea without a proper study. In case you are interested to read more, I keep my progress in this post: http://www.dreamviews.com/beyond-dre...red-dream.html

Maybe it is easier to get a shared dream with some random person? This seems logical to me, but to confirm this we need one case where two dreamers will find each other online and confirm that they had the same dream together.

does everything have to be checked by science for us to believe in it....there are many legends and urban legend etc. that not a few people choose to believe in.... well of course that science can check things and bring some answers etc. but maybe not everything has to be scientifically proven.....for us to believe in it.... also I think that when you believe in something life is much more beautiful...than when you just look at facts....and much more fun and full of posibilities
