      Are my methods on the right track for OBE?

      OBE's...yeah....very...um....weird...Ive google searched this many times, and would come to many theories, on how they occur...I know people in the forums, have OBEd with success...but....do you believe in OBE? I want to see it for myself...although I can't quite get the methods right.....
      I am trying to OBE tonight and see if I am succesful..here's the layout.....
      Im going to..breath..in...on 1..and out..on 2...then count to 500....That should take me about half an hour...after that...Ill imagine a warmth and heaviness overcome my body limb by limb. That's when I repeat "I will OBE" over and over in my head...I using earplugs...>_>...
      Im doing this before I sleep..am I on the right track.?
      Ive tried this yesterday, and I lost focus and fell asleep. So..I was almost Lucid....>_>....
      I want to hear from some OBE experts...your comments would be appreciated......Thanks!

      Have you tried WILD yet?? I heard that those who are experienced w/WILD can actually do it easier (PLEASE DON'T ASK ME!!!)...
      And it sounds like that they are actually teaching you to do WILD, seriously.. Then in the very final step of WILD (this is very difficult), you can choose to have a WILD, or something else...
      Naw! Don't say you are sorry. Sometimes I confuse myself (after confusing Splash w/one of our many lectures about 'reading a real book in a special type of LD.....S_____.....')!!

      Heh...thanks...Ive tried WILD but I can't do is succesfully.....I can't afford to wake up...heh...OBE..is also another way to enter a lucid dream state...if you lose focus...but Im just trying to astral project myself...........hrmm.say...do you believe in this OBE thing?

      (takes deep breath)Yes I do!! Also, I heard it is best attempted around the morning(kind of like WBTB)...(don't ask, just remember that)

      Yeah, the idea behind that is that in the morning your body has been resting like a dead person for a few hours, so you're pretty relaxed. Some people try waking up and not moving, and they say that helps, but I personally wake up the other way around so I couldn't tell you.

      Try about 3 or 4 AM (my dad gets me up around 4:15AM to give me my meds)....or you can use an alarm clock like you would WBTB!!

      Can't....Id like too..but I can't..I can't affor to lose sleep hours..or I would be really disturbed..Im really busy..and if I use an alam...my parents would hear it and kill me. Lol...Im just concetrating on OBE...cause it really fascinates me..and Im trying to increase my techniques...

      Yet, it is still possible to do it the harder way!! I know that some people can even do it, if they get into the final stage of WILD b4 falling asleep..(Don't ask)

      hey thats the same method gothlark tought me last night, mabie you should talk to him he has OBE's, so yes your definitly on the right track, anyway he said to count to 100, 5 times, when you breath in through the nose thats 1, than out through the mouth thats 2 and so on, but it does not take a half an hour, I meditated for a half an hour just today, and when I counting to 500 it only took about half the time (15 min), I got up at 8:00 last night and meditated for 40 some minutes but nothing happened, so thats why I think you need to practice meditation alot, then its easier to relax.

      EDIT: I recommend getting a digital watch that has an alarm system, then hide it under your pillow, you will be the only one to hear it, inless your a real deep sleeper.

      I don't do that counting technique, but I can still WILD...
      Well, my dad always gets up at 4:15AM anyways, so I can take my meds (the best thing is that 3 of them are vitamins, & all of them together contain 250mg of B6!! & then I take about 2 at night [still 167.5mg of yet more B6])...so that isn't much of a problem to try a WBTB WILD!!

      I used to have ld's often that summer when dreamviews shut down, but now I'm into OBE's and meditation, I think it's going to be awhile before I go to visit the astral plane, mabie I'll try to have an LD tonight I can pretty much have them when I want but I have to get up and do WBTB, that works 75% of the time, if I think about LD,s and being lucid well I'm up.

      I am still into LDing, but I have bigger sights as well...like looking up what has B6 in it (see this website: http://www.dietpower.com/help/diet/vitamin_b6.htm)...trying to see more of the Universe through special events that can happen close to morning at the least, weekly. Someone told me to leave a book out on the counter & read it during one of these, & that I did! LD reading is so fun! Maybe becoming a teacher on Dreamin of Gamin (I should be 18 b4 trying to become one)!

      Hah...I got taught another new OBE method...it's the same..I managed to get some earplugs..although not entirely..comfortable..:/....very well...onto..OBE...dun dun dun..

      Im a light sleeper...and my neighbors are loud at night, at times...>_>..the plugs feel uncomfotable, so Ill just stick to my waveeeee music.....OBE TIME! Night..>_>...

      Yeah, I was so hyper last night, it took over an hour to fall asleep w/WILD (the average amount of time currently is 1/2 hour, but that is only b/c I have done it all my life)

      I tried that one last night, but when I heard a noise, it was so startling that it took an hour to fall back asleep!!

      No, I believe it was a noise coming out from outside. I hear those often.. If you seriously want to see the LD I had last night, look in my DJ..
