Dream within dreams?
I have for sure had dreams within dreams. I normally become lucid in the second level of dreams (I started having these dreams within dreams and came up with the idea of dream levels BEFORE I saw inception). For example, I will fall asleep in my dream then become lucid and go to my dream world I go to (made up place I always visit in my dreams). When I wake up from the second level (now in the first level) I would tell my dream characters about my dream (second level). Then I would fall asleep again (go into second level) and go back to the dream world. I know these are not false awakenings because I am aware that I am talking about my dream I just had and I know I will wake up eventually when I am I'm the second level. Any thoughts on this?

something very similar has happened to me before,,
i fell asleep normally as always and then found myself in my ex bfs house
i then went on to fall asleep in his bed
so to summarize the beginning...i was dreaming inside my dream.
now in my second stage of dreaming I woke up in my bed at home (or so i thought i did)
and i went into the bathroom in my room and tried to turn on the light
then i realized the light switch wasnt working
so this told me i had a false awakening
it was very trippy and i actually thought i was awake
then in my dream i went back into my bed and had a third dream within a dream...
when i woke up for real the next morning i had to really think about which parts were real life and which parts were a dream
the first false awakening was the weirdest bcuz i didnt expect the lightswitch to not work:panic:

I've only had something like this happen once and it relates more to cuindreamland's. I woke up from my dream laughing because I said a really stupid pun to a friend. I got out of bed and was thinking about telling my friend about how she was in my dream while I was brushing my teeth, but the thing was my toothpaste wasn't foaming up. I did a reality check and got really freaked out, and ended up waking for the second time in real life.
