      DMT/Salvia Trips

Since I've been trying Salvia I thought it would be a good idea to share my experiences with it, as I find hallucinogens very interesting. Sorry if I write something wrong, my english level is not really high and trying to explain an hallucinogen trip is difficult even in your language, but I'll try.
One day I discovered Salvia Divinorum because of Google (I was reading about other plant for dreams) and bought a 20x extract. After two days it arrived and that night I tested it.

      #First Trip:

I tried to smoke a little quantity, since I didn't know how would it affect me, and I started to feel lighter, relaxed and with more powerful senses. After this I went to a 2D plane with a big spiral in sight. Everything that I could see in my room (the floor, the walls, etc) was in the spiral, and everything was attached. I mean, I had my phone in my hand, and I wanted to leave it on the table, but I could not because it did not exist, everything was joined together. Finally I could do it and I returned to reality, but not at all.

I wanted more so I smoked a bit more and I went to another reality/planet/dimension/i don't know where I did not exist, I did not remember this reality and that I had taken Salvia. In there I saw myself dying and reborning over and over thousand of times. There were two people who I have never seen before. After this I went back to this reality and went to sleep.
      Vicarious and Erikiia like this.
I like destruction and reality, and one invariably leads to the other.

I have smoked upwards of 40 grams of 20x salvia in my time as a user, and I would probably never use it again. I had 80x in my possession recently and gave it to a friend under the condition he would tell me how it went. I find salvia always seemed like a place rather than a state of mind, and certain entities would always make repeat appearances after so long.
At first the atmosphere is welcoming and you almost feel like part of a parade to celebrate your arrival and it's like that for a while. But over time the layers start to peel away and you realize they don't really want you there, He doesn't want you there in his world. Salvia is one hell of a time just watch out it doesn't change you.

Yes, I know everything has limits and that this kind of substance can change your way of thinking/viewing reality. My first impression was not that the atmosphere was great, but the opposite. I remember feelings of fear and anxiety during that travel, but I think is worth it.

Btw, what did you experience there to change your point of view about taking it?

Yesterday I did not have time enough to share my second trip, so I'm writing it now. It happened about two days ago.

      #Second Trip:

As the first time, I started smoking a little quantity. As I started feeling lighter I continued with a little bit more and soon saw how the buttons of the phone were on the floor of my room. I lied on the bed and smoked one last time before I turned off the light. I don't remember it completely, but when I came back I was on the floor. I remember that I was in my room, but as in the first trip there were two people there, with the difference that now I could see their faces; an old man and an old woman I had never seen before this. It was like they were changing the reality, showing me new things. They did not talk, just stared in the corner of my room with lost sight.

The walls of my room were not solid, I mean, they were like curtains, and you could see something behind them, but they did not show me. I understood that they were showing me how fake this reality is through our senses. After his I came back and went to sleep.

Another thing is that I notice that since I took salvia my dreams are more vivid and realistic and my recall is better since I was having a bad time with it. I don't know if it is because of the placebo.

Cool, never tried Salvia. I remember how one of my friends smoked it, later he layed down on the strairs and was trying to get on top using railings while climbing like on a ladder.

Looking to read more of your stories with Salvia

that sounds very scary, you should have done this with a friend in case something went bad.

You don't necessarily need someone to take care of you while traveling, just have to do it with caution and in a proper place.
And it's not really scary, it's more like impressive to see something you could never have imagined.

The biggest factor that lead me to stop using the presence of an entity who I refereed to as Sal Bandini, Just because I remember it from a movie and because the name Sal reminds me of Salvia. This entity held ownership over the dimensions where most of my trips seemed to take place, and overtime he grew tired of my constant visits. Over time instead of curiosity and wonder the trips started to give me anxiety. There where a few trips worth mentioning, like my first time which was with 30x and a blow torch.

My yellow bathroom walls became an open sky and the green tiles became a grassy meadow and the room was no longer a room but an endless field. Everything slowly became two dimensional and I could now see myself. My brother opened the bathroom door which caused a hole to rip in the sky making the 2D world begin leaking into the 3D world outside.

Another interesting time was when my television set became the Sun and started pulling me and everything around me inside it. The gravity was so intense that I had to grab onto my couch to prevent myself from being sucked inside.

Wow, thanks for sharing your experiences, you went to awesome places.

Is there always an entity? Like, the owner? I've always seen those two, and most of the trips I read about tend to have entities.

Okay, I did it again 40 minutes ago but did not go too far because I found it scary, but I can't remember why.

It's awesome the way that it literally erases your existence and your reality and forges a new one you totally believe in. A thing I've just remembered of my last trips is that I always see a 'chain', let me explain, I see like a lot of tubes joined together, and inside one of them your reality exists along with other realities. I felt it like while you live your life you're playing a role and you just accept it.

Btw, for the first time I did not see the two entities.

Salvia. Possibly the most powerful psychedelic on the planet.

It looks a lot like mint in terms of pharmacology. The plant itself also behaves a bit like mint plants do. I believe the plants are distant relatives. AFAIK it was a plant kept secret and deemed sacred by endogenous people somewhere around mexico i think. Rediscovered by westerners recently, and now they are being sold for profits in headshops and stuff.

From what i understand of salvia enthusiasts is that growing the plant itself is a much more rewarding and learning experience. I have been led to belief that the whole process in which salvia extracts are being sold for profits results in loads of negative energy building up in the plant and bleeding over into the experience. Also, 20x, 40x, 80x are mostly marketing names. Chances are that salvia being sold as 80x extracts hardly live up to their name in actual potency and is basically a waste of money.

Sorry to be a wee-bit negative here. Was just trying to say that it might be a good idea to grow your own salvia and maybe quid it (or make your own extracts) to get rid of the anxiety while establishing a meaningful relationship with the plant. I love the experiences posted in this thread. I also loved my few experiences i have had with salvia. Truly fascinating beyond comprehension. I very much relate to the 'chain' experience. I call it the 'wheel of time' because for me it was a wheel with hunderds of versions of me that i'm being sucked into. Did it 3 times with very low doses. I have tried smoking more of it but nothing happens anymore.

Haven't touched my extracts for about a year or so. But.. I am moving to a new place next week and i want to grow my own plant. Really psyched haha, thought i'd share.

Also, have you payed any attention to your breathe in the salvia experience? For me, breathing has been a major part of being in the wheel and the two are basically inseperable.

It would be a good idea to grow your own salvia plant, but until next year I'm living with my parents and it would be kind of strange my sudden interest in botany
Wheel of time. I like it, it fits perfectly with what I've been seeing lately. Also reminded me of the Caladan Brood song, Wild Autumn Wind; ''Temples crumble as the great wheel turns''.

I didn't pay attention to my breathe; I think I didn't even hear it but I will try to focus on it next time. Btw I would like you to share your experiences if you want to.

Meh, hard to describe. But i like sharing so i'll give it a shot; 1st experience came by suprise. Just took a tiny toke and before i knew it lost touch with reality completely. At first it was like a program was being installed to my brain. Images of forum posts and things i have read on the internet about salvia and psychedelics rushed into my consciousness with dazzling speeds. Eventually ended up as being a single teeth on a giant zipper. The larger construct was this Zipper/Conveyer belt/Wheel. Which spirals in a way, and i never noticed an edge, beginning or end. All i know is that every single teeth was ME folded up into a little box. Currently i was one of them, and feeling very uncomfortable. Felt a sense of a goal because i was stuck here in this box and the only way out was to breathe, inhale deeply. Except it was very intense, as if i am trying to breathe plastic instead of oxygen. So uncomfortable, then i heared a group of people on "the other side" of the zipper. Laughing at me, and i started to suspect i was being filmed for a prank show on TV. lol. I had the overwhelming sense that loads of people have been a part of this giant prank and went before me. Every single teeth of the zipper was a living breathing person that was in on the prank. Eventually made it out and roared with laughter when i realized i had just broke through on salvia.

It is sort of hard to recall the details but this is the general plot of what happened. How it looked and stuff i think is virtually impossible to describe or remember. Got to excuse my writing style it is how i'm used to describing these things. Second time was this wheel again. At some point i ended up in a paralell dimension of sorts and was ridiculed by some kind of presence. Telling me this is the 100th time i have smoked salvia in this way and that i still don't realize it's a useless endeavour.

After that, i have smoked big bowls of salvia and nothing ever happens anymore. The experience stays though. I feel like it is a biological change and i am different somehow than before i entered the salvia realm. Nothing ever happens for me when i smoke extracts though. Usually get stuck in sub-breakthrough and it doesn't feel good. That's why i want to grow the plant when i finally move to a new place with more opportunity to grow this magical plant.

Also heared that once one is acquinted with salvia, quidding it is an immensely powerful dreaming enhancer. Looking forwards to that. It's been 4 years since my first experience with it.

Wow, thanks for sharing it, such a powerful experience. It's a bit annoying not being able to describe it or even to imagine it again in your mind.

You said something that reminded of my first travel, how every single teeth of the zipper was a person. I barely remember being part of something, like I was a thread of millions of threads, and every single one was a person. I saw a big wall in front of me formed with a lot of people.

For me the "chain" or "wheel" was usually a train. But often took the form of the elements. Like a spinning vortex in the woods. The most profound moment was probably when I watched as the entire universe zoomed out and saw that it was only part of the tip of some pencil.

Look for things that you associate with the experience. I theorize that neural changes happen the first few times of taking Salvia. For me, smelling burned plant material a long with the smell of the pipe i used can sometimes be enough to bring back the feeling i had with salvia along with some almost forgotten memories.

      Also, look for Salvia art

This one also brings me right back.

Erowid has some ridiculously good stories. Out of all the trip reports i have read, i think i like the salvia ones the most.

Did it 5 minutes ago but nothing worth being written. I saw and also remembered a thing I always see, how every border I see becomes a lot of Marges Simpson (yes, you have read right) joined together and everything has like a circle with a letter.

I don't know what to do to make them worth again, like at first. They're not beautiful anymore and don't show me anything. I would like to try it in another place, like a forest, but here its impossible to me.

My friend once did salvia and looked at his lawn. His lawn was the face of bart simpson, and told him to do more savlia. When I asked "He said that to you?" my friend answered, "No he thought it to me."

Anyway, another thing that salvia always did for me that I'm curious if others have experienced, is that after you come down and its still lingering a bit, I like to call it the plateau period. I find during this time period my taste buds are extremely sensitive and everything tastes at least twice as good as it should.

Oh my god this was so funny! After 'a lot' of time without trying it, I bought a 5X extract (I think my mother throw away the 20X extract ) and tried it five minutes ago. Okay, I'll try to write it down.

So I took a hit, harsh as hell by the way, and everything started as usual; vibrations in the hands, higher sounds... and the typical I-don't-know-what-was-I-doing. So I laid in bed and relaxed. The ceiling fused with the background into a 2D image. I closed my eyes and WHAT IS THAT?! I just saw some creatures walking and working in a cave of flesh; they were working inside my brain. The image was too funny to let it go so I stared at them a bit more and then opened my eyes. This was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.
The colors were quite bright and defined and so were the edges of everything. It was like a comic page. Like a wonderland scene.

Next thing I did was took another hit, as I felt it was going too good to stop at that moment; I wanted more. It didn't go very well as my smoking device failed and only half of the salvia vaporized.
Stared at the ceiling and watched a lot of people walking from one wall to another, and I thought: ''What if I get in their ways?'' so I did. Almost transparent pink holograms were walking in my room, through the walls and through my body. They ended up disappearing and I was so happy that I finally was in tune with salvia again. Gonna try DMT soon!

I was fascinated with the Salvia experience and tripped about once a month for 2 years. I don't really know what to say. It always showed me that life isn't 'real'. EVERYTHING was sucked away. Even death, meditation, seeking. All of those things are just human concepts that only exist here.

I didn't really know what to do, there was a minor battle with 'suicide as the next step'. But then, I'm going to die anyway, so might as well live.
It's intense and took a while for me to get to a state where I can hold a job.

I never did try DMT. My friend always had some, but I could never get myself to do it because I think it would just be 'it'
I can relate almost perfectly to all of your trip reports so I'm very interested in how your DMT experience goes (vicarious).

Hello, first of all, brand new member checking everything out. Thought I would try to post something. I am going to talk about an OBE I believe I just had this morning but I am here so I will talk about my experience with this plant.

      So, my first and only expereince was awhile back but here is what I remember of it;
I was with some friends. We found some one night in our new house and thought lets warm it up. So we all took turns. Many different experiences, all of us. When it was my turn, I took a big long hit and even held it for awhile -not sure if this is proper but what would I know?

I slowly fade away into another place like much others have stated. In my place, I was still my regular self.. only my regular self existed in numbers. I felt like I was here in my reality but I could physically see myself and could look into other realities. My entire vision, everywhere I looked would be what you would normally see but it was a tunnel type thing and it kept peeling on the sides to what felt like other realities of the same moment. This happened for the first while and mostly after that I did not see entities but I felt at least one. This one that I felt was after me but I wasn't exactly scared. Just knew it was coming. While this was happening, my world started turning. I literally tried to hold it up by getting my feet at shoulder with and leaning forward with me hands out like if I were lifting a heavy rock on my back. It just kept turning but nothing was falling just in sync the world was moving as I felt I was being chased and seeing these portal type things everywhere I looked.

This is basically all that happened until I came back from it.
I have never shared with anyone, other than those friends. I am glad to see lots of people have different experiences but also have many similarities.

Hey guy. I had the same thing this morning. Took 15 grams of dried shrooms. Not extremely potent AFAIK. haha

It gets very psychotic when you start walking around in this state. I think what we are seeing is people dreaming and doing all sorts of shit in dreams. Making all sorts of tunnel-like realities that never amount to reality when you actually get out of bed to check what you are seeing in (ECE) vision.

It gets really confusing, but is rather comforting to know that this actually happens. It cleared up a lot of confusion for me and i have a better understanding of how it feels like to be scizophrenic/psychotic (It was like the whole city was invading my soul).

Also confirmed what a friend was saying about my neighbour. Energetic attacks and scare-mongering. I saw assholes stalking her in dreams. Who are also now starting to stalk her in real life, i suspect. Slightly rambling, sorry. But this one is very close to my heart.

I forgot to share my first approach to DMT here.

After doing the extraction I got a very little quantity of DMT, so I was kind of disappointed. Anyway I tried a little bit and only made me see colors a little brighter. Is this all it can give? I thought. I tried again and nothing, so I tried a different smoking method and holy fuck.

I took a big hit and my room was not the same anymore. It looked quite similar to a comic; quite defined edges and very bright colors, to a level that cannot be explained. It was just so beautiful. The light sources seemed to have more than one colour, like red and blue. I looked at my hands and arms and they were yellow, like I was sick. I loved how my skin was all covered in runes or what seemed to be ancient drawings. I lay and bed and stared at the New York painting I have. The buildings came out of the canvas to form a 3D image above my head. Fractal patters started forming on the ceiling. Holy fuck this is awesome, I thought, but I need more, so I took another hit.

This time I felt it coming and went to bed again and closed my eyes. I felt like I was levitating, I still could feel my body, but somehow a part of it was floating. A big colorful tunnel appeared in the dark and started spinning. I felt myself leaving this reality but I wasn't prepared to go so I forced myself to open my eyes. I looked at the mirror and saw what it looked like a forest full of fireflies. Closed my eyes again and saw an entity. I looked somehow like this.

She said nothing to me, and she was surrounded my colors and fractals. I felt a stream of energy going in and out of my chest and the most unbelievable feeling of happiness. Tears started flowing at this moment and I opened my eyes. After this colors were gradually going back to normal. Such a powerful experience, I can't imagine what hyperspace is like.
